But then we would have two very similar players playing together, seemingly trying to play in the exact same positions. Would cause more problems than it would fix.

He's technically brilliant, but his decision making isn't great.

There's a reason why people talk about Pogba 'keeping it simple' as distinct from his normal game. The simple things are what often let him down with his passing and he's better when he concentrates on getting them right.

Didn't finish that off......it sent in error then couldn't be bothered with the big rant I was planning ! In short if someone wants to say Pogba isn't a good direct passer and doesn't have the ability to play the final ball....the issue is with themselves not Pogba, there's a bias that goes beyond what's truth or even opinion.

I'm not a big fan of Fellaini but I'd be daft to slate his chest control, or Lukaku's goal scoring ability.
 
Not worth of 100 million. Good player nothing more. 40 million max. More than that, we have been fooled.

Look at Kolarov and Dzeko, shite in EPL better in serie A. Jovetic, also. Not many East Europe players currently have success rating in EPL. Mitrovic is the latest example. And how can we forget about the Next Giggsy, Zoran Tosic ?

He will add a depth, but calling him the missing puzzle is too much.
 
Definitely don't need him when we have Pogba. Hes more incisive when it comes to attacking, but a 3 with pogba, him and matic wouldnt work imo.

The criticism surrounding Pogba's decision making and not keeping things simple has nothing to do with the quality of his passing, it has to do with him sometimes dallying on the ball and not making the simple passes in midfield to keep things ticking (an aspect that Savic doesn't particularly excel at either). His creative passing is world class, and it's arguably the one part of his game that's been consistently fantastic throughout his time here, that's why I find it so bizarre that you single it out for criticism.

40mill max? In 2018? Don't be daft. He's far better than the majority of players who for around that. He's worth around 60-70.
 
Savic is nowhere near worth what Lazio are asking for him.

I would take Banega over Savic any day, he's much more suited to our needs .

Indeed, I believe that's why we decided to go after Fred. Very dynamic and can open up defenses witch quick decision pass.

Won't complain if Fellaini leaves and Savic or Thiago or even Talisca coming here. Hopefully we can choose and go for the best option.
 
I am not planning to go in defend mode when it comes to Savic, just do not understand the reaction of people not just for Savic, where they feel really hard to shit on player/s just because his club demands some insane amount of money. Why not calling Lazio`s owner a names, someone said how he isnt worth more then 40mil., i mean really in today`s market?
 
He'll be a big player, but it won't be with us.

I can't see Madrid signing him - doesn't suit the same type of player as Modric, Kroos or Casemiro. Savic practically plays as a center forward being a striker in a 4-4-1-1.

Juve will get him I think.

Ok then. Greedy, deluded, unrealistic, overvalued etc. He will be sold to someone like Juve for around £60m/£70m.
 
Sergej‘s father has said something about Juve recently.

Barca press has hinted at Barca going for Pjanic and Juve signing SMS as a replacement.

I think that is not far off reality and even though Real is better positioned to spend 150m on him, I don‘t see where he fits in the starting XI and you can‘t pay that money for a bench player.
 
In my opinion, Sergej is a luxury player which you only sign when you have a well oiled system. I don't think UTD need him, because they already have another one in Pogba, it will only make things worse. You can say i'm biased because i support Liverpool, but i'm being really objective here, and i think your priority should be signing two top full-backs and a right winger. You already have problems in making the midfield work, as it isn't too cohesive and you have Fred already coming in.

I reckon Zielinski at Napoli or Kovacic would also suit us more than Savic if we're going for a more mobile midfielder.

Agreed Pogba can be quite wasteful when it comes to passes in the final third, but overall his passing is streets ahead of Savic's imo.
 
His pace and power appeals a lot to Jose. But if Jose can unlock Pogba's potential then we already have a superstar in the making in the same position.

Dzeko wasn't brilliant in the EPL, but he was a very competent target man, not awfully dissimiller to Giroud in terms of output etc.

Bit harsh there.

A player can come from anywhere (Ronaldo started at SL, Marco Van Basten at Utrecht , Kevin Keegan at Scunthorpe etc etc), if you've scouted properly, then you're golden. Don't base every argument on where someone is from(we all mock SPL but look at VVD, Larsson ,Wanyama etc etc etc), besides Serie A is still 4/5 strongest in Europe

Napoli won't sell Zielinski. As for Pogba, depends. If i want a box-to-box midfielder, i'm taking Pogba. If i want an attacking midfielder, i'm taking Milinkovic. Pogba is a better passer in midfield, Milinkovic is better passer in the final third. Faster of mind and more effective. He sees the last pass better than Pogba

We're not a tiki taka team. People need to get over that. In a Mourinho system, a player like Lampard, Ballack or even Fellaini is an important piece of the puzzle. Not every team needs a controlling passer. Least of all us.

Pogba is considerably more direct and better in every facet of the passing game.
