If he gets clearance I expect him to move, think he'll join Tottenham though as not sure we are even in for him and they need RB cover and to appease their fans.

I don't think I've ever seen him play, but I've read about him being a bit of a clown.

Although, if Jose is after him then it seems he is prepared to take the risk and he is an exceptional talent.

With that in mind, how does Aurier stack up against the best right backs in the world?

He must be in the top 10, temperment issues etc are all that lets him down.

one of the best RB's in the world on form, would displace valencia

Zlatan is a great player but he does have the tendency to dominate weak managers. The same accusations were thrown at Allegri during Ibra's stay at AC Milan. It went pretty viral with autogol laughing at it in every occasion.

Such accusations went in Allegri's head and at one point it nearly degenerated into a fist fight between the manager and the player. Everything was documented by Zambrotta.

Interesting. Not surprised by Zlatan :D

Some players are simply not cut to work with weak managers. They sense them from miles away and will try and take over. Some even dare to bully their manager even if they are tough nuts. Keane and Ince comes to mind (the latter was way worse then the former). These players walk on a tight rope between greatness and madness. Its what makes them unpredictable but equally good. Not everyone is cut to be a boy scout.

He is great at defending and really rapid, but man his crossing is absolute shit. Like seriously bad. He is also not that good of a passer. This combined with his personal problems makes me want us to stay away.
This isnt true at all. He was one of the best crossers a while ago when Ibra was there. His form has declined lately though.

No, the facts are, the were 3 police officers verbally abusing him, when he came out of the night club. I bet, you have never seen racist cops around pulling bullshit on a minority person ?

No minute by minute update of his trial/hearing/appeal?

You'll have to wait a little longer as proceedings were delayed when Aurier strolled straight into the courtroom and elbowed the judge square in the jaw.

I don't really know much about him but from the replies here, his temperament is being described as being somewhere between Genghis Khan and Ramsey Bolton.

He's not that bad surely?

I think he could be right up there, from what I've seen of him. He's probably about as exciting a prospect there is at RB. If he's matured a bit and ready to focus on football I'd definitely take him.

Where have you seen that?

Only a minor delay surely :lol:

No idea if it has started yet. He/his social media manager retweeted a tweet about Ivorian Independence Day from Zaha about an hour ago.

Cheers, the no phones at the desk/social media ban (especially twitter) at work has hit hard so relying on here for my news and updates.

Are you saying French cops are angels, no racist issues?

No, I'm just asking where those facts come from? Personally I don't know what really happened, the facts that I know are that the previews night gunshots have been exchanged in that street and the police was around all night, they controlled Aurier and he didn't appreciate it. Both sides say that the other was aggressive, the police say that Aurier was insulting too.

I don't know much than that.

Err I guess you've quoted the wrong post?

I have read somewhere that the cops were checking people on their alcohol levels outside of the club. Aurrier claims that they were rude with him, name calling and so on and he ended up elbow shoving one officer.

"Monday's report from France Bleu (h/t Get French Football News) shows a man a long way removed from a figure trying to redeem himself.

They report that the "tone [turned] nasty between the police officers and [Aurier], with the player's friends "attempting to calm him down," but it was to be in vain.

Aurier kept repeating: “You have no idea who I am, you are going to have problems.”

Get French Football News notes that "the police officer who then attempted to forcibly remove [the player] from the car claims to have been shoved and nudged by [Aurier]."

So you've no actual facts about what the police were doing.

'Claims' can't be labelled as 'Fact'.

I'm not saying what you / Aurier said is made up, but you can't just jump to the conclusion that the police were racist.

No facts then?

The modern game is so reliant on fullbacks now and the only decent we have is Valencia. Astounds me we haven't addressed this issue as of yet. We should be signing Aurier and someone for the left side also, as there are too many question marks over there.

I just told you why the BAC(Anti criminality brigade) was in that street, it's because of incidents the night before not road control which isn't really their job. And for what it's worth the BAC is generally not nice, so they probably summarily asked to leave the car.

That makes it sound like Aurier was solely at fault. Unsure how that helps your argument.
