Just to elaborate, if the stories are true, he was asked if Blanc s**ks Zlatan off. His reply was "he takes it all". And this is in addition to the Fa*** comment. You're going to tell me that's not as damaging to the manager and general public, kids watching the broadcast?

Add to this, calling the referee 'a dirty SOB' and assaulting a police officer?

Where do we draw the line and say that it's unacceptable for us to be associated with such a player? I am sure as hell okay with dull attacking from Darmian than have Aurier pull a United shirt.

He has a point about Ibra. How come you are not so upset, when Ibra tells Raiola that he would break his legs or telling publically that Chiellini would end up in hospital, if he got serious with him?

No he has no point about Ibra. There is no justification for homophobic comments. Do yourself a favor and don't defend those actions.

That's fine and we'll overlook that cos it's Zlatan.

And if one of our legends decides to have a affair with his sister in law then that's fine too..:wenger:

This.
Look if you have a personal dislike about a player, in this case Aurier, then fair enough. The guy has some history and that's undeniable. Disrespecting your manager and hitting a police officer is not something you can give him credit for. But let's not speak as we had only saints playing for us, our all time appearance player and legend had an affair with his brother's wife. Let's not be hypocrites.

What do either of those have to do with homophobic comments? Just another straw man argument.

Again, bringing up past players is a straw man. That has nothing to do with Serge Aurier.

The hell with you. I don't like dull Darmian going forward. I played with Hispanic guys for a long time, every other word is puta or maricon. Take it easy on that. And yes, last year, Jose did the same to Ibra.

@Nick7 I find someone who has an affair with his sister in law and that for many years aswell, to be a real low life and much worse than what Aurier has ever said verbally. I'm sure you'll disagree..

Look there is no defending an assholic action, we both agree to that. Giggs did something that has just no justification. It would have destroyed his family I am almost sure.

But there are actions that are discriminatory towards a whole section of society. This could be words against race, gender, disability whatever. These have a deeper impact than, say sleeping with your sister-in-law.

Would you consider Giggs to be more of a "low life" than Suarez?

As a gay man, yes I do find homophobes worse.

As a Brit that has Egyptian parents. I have been called racist names but I rise above it. And in my opinion it's normally said when an individual feels angry. Not saying it's right, but think someone like Aurier deserves a break from his PSG troubles.

Sure. I do not want it to be at Manchester United.

In France the gay lobby is very powerful and the media hate Aurier.

But the translation of the word "fiotte" is weak.. it isn't homophobic...in fact it's only the british media that talk about that homophobic stuff and it's funny

@Macedonian_FAN has a point, id rather have a player who calls someone else gay than one who thinks its ok to feck his bothers wife.
Give Aurier a break.

I have zero issue with his antics. Yes they aren't great, but nobody is perfect.
New England Patriots take in all the lose cannons, control them and make winning sides out of them

I'll ask you as well, you must also think that Giggs' actions were worse than Suarez's then?

Of course Giggs actions are worse. I've seen and endured a lot of name calling and rough play on the pitch over the years and who cares but someone fecking their brothers wife seems just crazy to me.

I wonder if you'd find it worse if Your brother had had an affair with your wife for 6 years.

I would be devastated. But wouldn't change the fact that total impact of homophobia on the society is a lot worse than that.

My god why are people still bringing up Giggs is a shitty straw man argument that has nothing to do with Aurier.

Well then at least you're consistent with your views. I raised this point because if caf hates one player with passion then it would be Suarez. His actions, to me, are at the same level as Aurier's.

Yes they were, I'd rather be called a Egyptian feck than see devastation like what Giggs did to his family.

Depends on how you judge people personally probably, I would think I would agree with you most of the time, if I was Giggs' brother however...

On aurier, he's a very good player, at that price he is a steal.

Why is it homophobic to suggest that two men are so enamoured with each other that they may have sexual intimacy? There is no prejudice in his words.
OK this is crazy. Yes, what Aurier said was homophobic.

Aurier called someone on the pitch gay, its terrible behaviour but lets keep it real...guys call each other gay on the field all the time...it still happens and I laugh at whoever wants to call me gay or any other names when Im playing football.

I dont think Suarez is really racist, as deplorable as he is i feel as though he was just talking shit to get under Evra's skin. I took more offense when he bit Chellini

No he didn't. At least know what you're arguing about before you argue it.

I don't know what he said but since racism/homophobia is almost always exaggerated to make whoever is saying things look worse I think he deserves a second chance.

No he didn't. At least know what you're arguing about before you argue it.

This is what was said:
"One participant asked Aurier if his manager Blanc engages in oral sexual activity with Ibrahimovic, to which he replies: 'He takes everything'. In the same video, Aurier goes on to describe his manager as 'une fiotte', which translates into English as a faggot - a pejorative term for a homosexual."

its not great behaviour, but hardly worth carrying about.
He is a fantastic full back and would do a great job for us. I think he deserves another chance

It was not on the pitch, your argument is false. Yes it is worth going on about, to me. I don't want him at United.

My god why are people still bringing up Giggs is a shitty straw man argument that has nothing to do with Aurier.

Because he stated that he doesn't want the club associated with such players, and perhaps our most famously associated player did something comparable? Don't see why it would be an issue to bring it up...

If we don't sign him, it won't be because of his off field antics. Either the manager doesn't rate Aurier or he doesn't think we need a RB at all.

Cool...you are your opinion and I have mine.
I believe we'll end up signing him and he has my support

You're telling me you don't have any friends/family members who say shit like that as a joke? And if they do that means you completely ostracize them right? Was it rude/a bit far? Yes. Is it unforgivable? Hell no. I've heard worse back in my elementary school basketball games.

The comments Aurier made weren't said on the pitch. It was on social media. But in my view one isn't better than the other. You guys all play footie with some really rough people is all I can say. Literally no one here thinks that calling someone "gay" might remotely be funny because it really isn't.

Suarez bit Chiellini and Aurier assaulted a police officer. It's safe to say that they are at least equally bad.

OK. He won't have mine. He's also very unlikely to get his appeal, because you know assault.

I get that the comments werent made on the pitch....does it really matter where he said them?
If you play in a mens competitive league in any country (I play in Canada at the moment) be prepared to be called gay and much worse in a variety of languages.
