I like McT. I feel he was brought into the team in bad faith by Jose and he looked miles off being good enough. He improved a-lot under Ole and he's become a very decent player. I fancy him doing well at West Ham.

Luckhurst hasn't reported the new 30m bid yet. The first offer of 20m has been rejected, so West Ham would have to make a new offer if they want him.
£40-45m for McTom and £30m for Maguire sounds fair to me in this market.
Because according to Melissa Reddy we want 40m for Maguire but would accept 35m. McTominay is 40m minimum.

Oh come on now. Everyone would have loved to replace MCT with Rice we had a chance.
I like MCT too, but at the moment Rice is definitely better than MCT and also has higher potential.

Not sure why we are holding out so hard for an extra 10m. These two out means Amrabat and Todibo in and our summer finished in excellent fashion.
If you told me we are still going to get Amrabat after selling Fred and VDB I'm cool keeping McTominay, otherwise we are insane for not taking their offer.
Nice to see us not just accepting the first offers for players but I hope it works out. This could be quite a big moment for Murtough either way.
I wouldn't have touched Rice, no. The majority on here also don't rate him. Rice would have been replacing Casemiro, who is a far better player. McT is a B2B midfielder, who has been shoehorned in as a DM. In terms of quality? There really isn't much between them.
Just accept the 30m. If we try be to greedy then we’ll still have deadwood in September.
There is enough room in the squad for McTominay, provided Fred and DvB are sold. Don't need to sell him for funds.

We’re struggling to sell Fred for 15m. We’ll be lucky to get 10m for DVB - suspect it’ll be a loan.
We should be very careful, Moyes moved mountains to get us to this stage and we don't want to let him down

There's a point where you forego some perceived value to get what is more valuable for yourself, and not hold onto dead value. Don't feck this up...
