I like McT. I feel he was brought into the team in bad faith by Jose and he looked miles off being good enough. He improved a-lot under Ole and he's become a very decent player. I fancy him doing well at West Ham.

£60M for McT and Maguire seems pretty good. Is there any chance they will take Martial too?

Jose was the strongest supporter of MCT and I believe even after his exit, he said MCT was one of the best player at the club at that time

He brought him into the team under terrible circumstances. It was shambolical management.

If you told me we are still going to get Amrabat after selling Fred and VDB I'm cool keeping McTominay, otherwise we are insane for not taking their offer.

Nice to see us not just accepting the first offers for players but I hope it works out. This could be quite a big moment for Murtough either way.

Oh come on now. Everyone would have loved to replace MCT with Rice we had a chance.
I like MCT too, but at the moment Rice is definitely better than MCT and also has higher potential.

I wouldn't have touched Rice, no. The majority on here also don't rate him. Rice would have been replacing Casemiro, who is a far better player. McT is a B2B midfielder, who has been shoehorned in as a DM. In terms of quality? There really isn't much between them.

Just accept the 30m. If we try be to greedy then we’ll still have deadwood in September.

There is enough room in the squad for McTominay, provided Fred and DvB are sold. Don't need to sell him for funds.

I hope we know what we’re doing. Could be very good business or awful decision making, costing us Amrabat and many millions in salary for bench players. 30 for Mag, 35-38 for McT would be fine i guess.

Because according to Melissa Reddy we want 40m for Maguire but would accept 35m. McTominay is 40m minimum.
We should be very careful, Moyes moved mountains to get us to this stage and we don't want to let him down . No problem chancing our arm for more money but if it backfires and then we fail to buy more suitable players for ETH, I want heads on a plate the next time we lose because we are playing McT for Casemiro, when he is injured or suspended.

We do need the funds but also we need much better footballers as squad players than McTominay.

Also, when did the United fanbase start rating him this highly? The guy can't pass the ball at a decent level.

So we've rejected both bids? The feck ...

Given that we can replace both Maguire and McTominay for Todibo and Amrabat at pretty much 0 cost and lower wages, I would be pretty annoyed if we don't start the season with those 2 in. There's a point where you forego some perceived value to get what is more valuable for yourself, and not hold onto dead value. Don't feck this up...
