They can admire him from the championship and have all that money in the bank.Cough up West Ham, we know you’ve got the money.

Can see us holding out on this one. Plenty more wiggle room than Maguire.
Van de Beek and Fred, the players he'd be replacing. We need MONEY and space to get Amrabat
So he and Fred are the two who kept out of the squad yesterday and today - to prevent injuries - so can we assume that those 2 deals are the closest? While on the other hand Maguire and Donny are fully involved
I wouldn’t take too long if I were us. If West Ham have a bad start, Moyes could be gone and with him, any chance of selling our Brexit deadwood.
No but seriously, are they kept out due to transfer biz (like Hojlund was kept out in the Atalanta game right before he was sold) or do I read to much into it?
McTominay's injured I think, game against Dortmund he went down at the end. No clue about Fred.So he and Fred are the two who kept out of the squad yesterday and today - to prevent injuries - so can we assume that those 2 deals are the closest? I would take 55m for both now.£60 million for McTominay and Maguire would represent a good deal for all parties IMO.
Yeah. Or £50m. Somewhere thereabouts I suppose. I would take £40m in a heartbeat. We are better off without those guys (we thank them for their service).£60 million for McTominay and Maguire would represent a good deal for all parties IMO.

McFred are much better than my mum, much as I love her.Let me put it this way, despite all that is said about McFred, both are definitely better than Dan Gore and Van de beek
I think he's played since then. Just, a knock it seems although at the time it lookedbad.McTominay's injured I think, game against Dortmund he went down at the end. No clue about Fred.
Gore's an u-21 player and probably has a higher ceiling than either in terms of progressive passing and dictating midfield rhythm, even just as a squad player. For the moment he's not replacing either because we'd be bringing in (a) one more experienced player better suited to how ETH plays and (b) probably Mainoo to understudy and fill in for cup games/ late sub appearances, who has a currently higher ceiling than Gore, let alone the aforementioned duo, and who it's in our interests to develop, including giving some game time to. They're saleable assets, as far as it goes and worth more as that than as squad players.Let me put it this way, despite all that is said about McFred, both are definitely better than Dan Gore and Van de beek
Yeah we have to ship those three out asap imo. Donny, however, should definitely be sold; again, that doesn't detract from the fact that McFred also need to go...

Not played or trained since then.
Yeh my price would be 55m too. 30m for McT and 25m for Maguire is about right, good for both parties.I would take 55m for both now.

Bad news for us
If Southampton sell JWP then McTomminay would be a good replacement for them, probably captain material also.
Or they could afford himnot A chance on earth he plays in championship. Don’t be daft

And Southampton will be a PL club by next season.I know people dont rate him but he’s easily a premier league level player.
Of course he isI know people dont rate him but he’s easily a premier league level player.

But it's not in their model to spend 40-45 million on a 26 year old. Never mind when they're in the championship with already one of the highest wage bills. And Southampton will be a PL club by next season.
