The sort of player we should've signed instead of Lindelof but at this point we've already got an abundance of centre backs.
But you miss out on the ecstasy of the huntTake a pessimistic stance and you can only ever be pleasantly surprised
He signed for Barcelona the summer we signed Bailly.
Time for another swap deal!

You'd think eventually after years and years we would get good at spotting stories planted by agents to get player more pay ? Maybe in 10 more years ?
Edit: read up and everyone bar the odd dreamer knows what this is ! We ARE getting good at this !!
9m€ net though? That's 300k £ per week. That's more than anyone at Bayern, surely more than Pique ever got.He had been their 2nd or 3rd best player they should pay him like a key player.
So Umtiti and three injury prone defenders? What could possibly go wrong?him and Eric would be a hell of a partnership but we have so many CB's. Blind and Smalling need to move on if we sign a new CB. We'd then have Umtiti, Baille, Jones and Rojo.

That's ridiculous. Obviously Barca cannot pay it, which seems to be Man United's strategy.
If you keep offering such wages that even Man City are saying 'no thanks' (Alexis), I don't think it's a great strategy. Even good players can be overpaid, and we all know Mourinho needs soldiers, not mercenaries, so that team work can make his dream work.
A bit off topic but it's a very strange situation when even after recent months, where we lose Jones and Rojo to injuries (for the hundred time) and Smalling is yet again here and playing regularly, people brand him as useless and how he needs to go.
If we do sell CBs to bring new ones(not counting Blind), Jones and Rojo should be first out of the door.
Just saying we probably aren't at pall involved and agent is just using our name as has been typical of the last 10 yearsWill never get posts like this. Why would you want the club not to tell his agent to keep us informed in a situation like this? It's not as if Woodward is sitting outside his house in a trailer having dropped all work?
We have everything to gain and nothing to lose in a scenario like this. Best case, we get a superb player. Worst case, he stays but with higher wages at Barca. Who gives a feck? Its not us that'll pay it.
Jones definitely. Rojo isn't injury prone though, just had a long one.A bit off topic but it's a very strange situation when even after recent months, where we lose Jones and Rojo to injuries (for the hundred time) and Smalling is yet again here and playing regularly, people brand him as useless and how he needs to go.

I realize this last big injury pumped up his ''out injured'' days but he does have recurring problems. A fast check in his stats and you will see that last season's 41 games is the highest he has played in a season, and he is 27. It's nothing to slate him about since I don't know if it's injury related, but when you factor his actual ability he is not worth the fuss in my opinion.Jones definitely. Rojo isn't injury prone though, just had a long one.

Pretty sure those number are hogwash. No way we'd pay him that.9m€ net though? That's 300k £ per week. That's more than anyone at Bayern, surely more than Pique ever got.

Le Parisien apparently has a report that he wants to be barca captain in the future and doesn’t want to leave
A player unhappy with wages using a 'link' to us to get his way? Go on...
