He's just so inconsistent, he'll have great weeks, then be totally out of sorts the next. Can't say them signing him bothers me, just another hot and cold player.
He tore them apart when he played against them. That's good enough reason to explain their enthusiasm.Am I the only person who isn't impressed by Mane? At least I've watched him a lot more than Micky and don't know what the hype is about
Fecking hell, I don't know how much Euros that is these days but are we paying nearly as much for Sadio fecking Mane as Utd for Mkhitaryan? I hate Mane
Agreed, he's a good buy for them unfortunately.Good player. Quick, commits players, pretty strong and he has an eye for goal. Sensible signing by the looks of things.
Nope, apparently £30m wouldn't be enough to nab Troy Fecking DeeneyHey, it's either Mane or Troy fecking Deeney, so it could always be worse.
Ive watched every game of his this season and the inconsistency thing is a bit over stated. As others have pointed out, it's his consistency that's the problem. He's great when he's to be found but unfortunately that's in sparse patches (not in games, but weeks).
So, we are not going to have BaillyGoing to be away the African Cup of Nations against us, Swansea and Chelsea at least and possibly a Tottenham game as well. The problem with signing the top African players.
Mind elaborate other than usual gut feeling toward PL proven vs unproven?Similar thoughts were expressed when Liverpool signed Clyne and we got Darmian. We all know how that ended. This might end up the same way or even worse regards we getting Mikhitaryan and Liverpool Mane and i'll really be happy to be proven wrong but people on this thread are getting too ahead of themselves.

Footballs gone Fecking bonkers
Completely agree with that. its strange to call a player inconsistent when he's reached double figures in goals for two consecutive seasons in the toughest league in the world. One has to watch his performances against the big teams to see what he really brings to the table. He's definitely superior to young and lingard, and Depay from last season.Ive watched every game of his this season and the inconsistency thing is a bit over stated.
Im biased because I really like watching him play and would have loved to have him at Utd, he would be a better option for us than a number of our current players.
But the inconsistency tag has become a go to line of those who dont like him or those who in reality havent watched him that much and are just parroting what they have read others say.
He had a patch in the middle of the season where he went horribly off form but once he came back to that he returned to being consistently one of the 2-3 best players for Southampton in every game. For the bulk of the season he was one of their best 2-3 players each game.
