Ryder Cup: Hazeltine Sept 30th- Oct 2nd: USA vs. Europe&GB

Will Rory and Pieters be the first two out for Europe for the singles tomorrow? Try to get the ball rolling early?

Depends what the score is, but I imagine they will send their best players out first. Saying that though Clarke isn't daft and it wouldn't surprise me if he employed some tactics and tried to second guess Davis's picks and mixed the selection up a little.

It's a joke. Really do not like Spieth, I would place money he was the one who refused to give Sergio the 2 footer that he went on to miss as well.
The Michael Oliver of golf.

I'd make Garcia putt six inches, to be fair.

Jesus Sergio. Phil will walk away 2 out of 3 points playing like crap.

Everybody would but it doesn't mean it isn't unsportsmanlike. The two also made Rose putt from a foot and a bit out a few holes back.
As you can tell I really dislike Spieth.

What the feck? That moron just shouted "CHEESEBURGER" when Westwood hit his drive  :wenger:

Unbelievable some of the morons watching this year. I bet he's a Trump supporter.

On the subject of gimmes I don't get why they give them, some of them have been generous. Everyone knows you can feck up anything in golf, everyone should have to put the ball in the cup.

His snail pace around the golf course doesn't help matters. He's just a bit boring. Annoyingly good though.

They chnat that all tournament. They are retarded.

Sergio can´t miss that one, can he?

I've never seen Rory this pumped up during a match. Those American fans have made him visibily angry, and it seems the angrier he gets at them, the better he starts playing. I love it.

Mcilroy and Pieters have been so good. Not as if Rory is carrying, they've both stepped up when needed.

It evens out if both sides do it though. At that level both sets of players are as likely to miss the gimmes as each other so there is no advanage.
That's why Spieth and Reid suddenly making Garcia putt out on the 10(?) doesn't sit well with me.
Being asked to finish out probably annoyed Sergio too and added to the tension in his stroke.

Rory has been killing it this weekend, they can keep winding him up if this is what happens. Leading from the front every round.

Patrick Reed has responded magnificently to collapsing earlier and losing badly yesterday evening. He really looks up for this. I remember he did 2 years ago as well.

Rory's annoying me. He's playing great golf, but he's overdoing the celebrations. It's not that long since he said the Ryder Cup is only an exhibition and not what he got into golf for and now he's celebrating halving a hole more than he celebrated winning some of his majors. It feels very forced.

That's not to say it's completely fake. He obviously cares more than he did 6 years ago or whenever it was that he said that, but I just think he's overdoing it, almost trying to take the Poulter spot in the team. He likes it to be all about Rory.

He since gone back on that comment though hasn't he? The celebrations are apt I think because of the abuse he is getting.

He seems genuine to me. The way he's playing and the emotions he's showing, that's exactly what you want to see at the Ryder Cup. He's really invested in this.

You're mad at your father?

Sounded like "you married a farmer"

Feck knows. They are all Trump supporters for sure. Feckwits of the highest order. Seriously, fecking idiots.

And Love Rory giving it back to the crowd. He's really reminding me of Ronaldo. The more he gets jeered, or booed or gets abuse the better he plays and the more hyped up he gets! Top work from the lad.

Yeah. He went back on them very quickly. Because he was told to I'd imagine. And as I said, I'm sure now that he's a bit of a veteran, his opinion has genuinely changed. But I still think he's overdoing it. It's obviously just my opinion but he's doing it because he wants to be the new "Mr Ryder Cup" I reckon.

Yeah. We all want to see passion. I just think it's so out of character. Anyway, obviously I'm on my own on this, I really just think he's putting it on a bit.

Maybe with a different captain he's just into it a lot more. The last tournament was pretty amazing and maybe fired him up.

Being 4 down and hearing the crowd rub it in your face would rile anybody up.
He was probably told to go out first and lead the way.

Plus if people are yelling 'cheeseburger' at you for whatever reason. I can only imagine the satisfaction of smashing it and shutting up the annoying American crowd tbf.

Rory is just pissed at the crowd and you can't blame him as It's full of complete imbeciles. The commentators are moaning about them constantly, the on course commentators are moaning about them, you can hear the sheer stupidity in the comments and chants being shouted. Also, you have been able to hear on numerous occasions the on course officials shouting at people to be quiet, have some respect and saying they are searching for the bigger muppets to throw them out. It's no wonder Rory is acting the way he is. Sergio is not far behind him either. They can't let the crowd get to them.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with high spirits, banter and joking around and nothing wrong with cheering your team on, but many are going way too far and some of the crowd are seriously reminding me of Happy Gilmore. You can tell that many normal fans at the event will be just as annoyed at the numpties as the players, officials, commentators and the rest of us viewers are.

It's always the same when the Ryder Cup is in the States so it's no surprise really.

They could at least shout something a bit more exciting.

"£100 a gram pure Colombian flake!"

Doesn't roll off of the tongue I guess.

Rory and Pieters losing their way a little. As I type this, Pieters holes a great birdie! Just what they needed.
