Spurs looks likelier destination tbh. Another inexperienced defender with Shaw already in his ranks doesn't make sense.
Buying him for £50 million in 2-3 years doesn't make sense either .
Buy him NOW cheaper and loan him back to Fulham for a couple of seasons. If he's as good as people make out he will be worth it.
But, should Sessegnon become available, Spurs appear certain to face competition from United, whose manager Jose Mourinho is a keen admirer.
Sky sources also understand United would allow Sessegnon to continue his education at Fulham this season by loaning him back to the west London club.
However, Sky Sports News understands Fulham's stance on Sessegnon remains with owner Shahid Khan unprepared to sell the teenager even if a bid of £25m is received.
Between Shaw, Blind, Darmian and at a push Mitchell we're ok for left backs this season without having an outstanding one (unless Shaw progresses his potential into actual ability) so I'd be happy with buying Sessegnon and loaning him back to Fulham til the end of season so he's playing regularly then if he's progressed as he very easily could do we take on the pre season tour and give him minutes as from what I've seen of him he could be VERY good.
Can he play LWB?

Probably be his best position all round. I'm really glad we're interested and not letting Liverpool/Spurs just hoover up the best young English talent.
Arguably would be his best position. He is probably best in the left wing inside forward position but is also a good defender. He tends to score a good amount of goals in the more advanced positions.
Ryan Sessegnon of 'significant interest' to Manchester United if Fulham stance changes

So it means he isn't for sale but Sky will just run some news on it.
The kid is only 17 and needs regular game time and as of now, he's not better than Shaw or Blind as a LB. Also, allowing him to stay at Fulham for another year may help our case in getting him over the many other clubs in for him.I wouldn't loan him back to Fulham if we do sign him. We don't have any outstanding left backs, the problem would be Mourinho giving minutes to a 17 year old although if the reports are to be believed he's a 'keen admirer' so he could get enough playing time to break into the team.
Another Dele Alli methinks. Boyhood Liverpool fan whos spurs bound.
Makes sense his family and friends are all in London.
A bit lightweight right now, no?
He's 17, mate, and with all the talent to potentially become the next Bale. He's not United class, no thanks.
If we're striving to compete with Real Madrid and PSG we have to be thinking bigger and more ambitiously.
