It is the right decision and most importantly it is proof that the new owners aren't completely spineless. Ruud came to us in the summer for one reason: to get himself in the position of becoming the new man utd permanent manager. Didn't like the way he conducted himself on the side lines while Ten Haag was in charge - reminded me of Ronaldo for Portugal during the euro final. Felt as if he was undermining Ten Haag; with one eye always on himself becoming manager. And during his 4 games in charge; His attire and overall demeanour - felt like he's been rehearsing for this role the second he joined the coaching team in the summer.
It's was different when Giggs and Carrick took over as interim manager. Being at the clubs already for years, they were well-established figures within the club who most likely had realistic expectations of what was required off them during the brief spell they were in charge until a new manager was found.
Ruud does come across as an opportunist. This isn't a bad thing when it comes to the competitiveness of globalised business, but with Amorin getting the job, you could clearly tell that Ruud had pinned all his hope on obtaining personal glory by finding himself in the managerial seat permanently - a hope that was with him from the very first second he joined us in the summer.
He can't be around the club while Amorin in charge. Gaining the endorsement from the players last week indirectly confirms the corruptness and lack of accountability that runs through the club from each and every individual. If Ruud goes off and manages elsewhere and does well, then, depending on the current situation at the time, then I would like to see him as manager.
