Amazing
What a bunch of animals.
Here ya go
This Forbes article explains in more depth. Essentially a 1945 naval gun put on a 1950s armored chassis.

This bit made me chuckle....
"The incident provoked fury among Russia’s milblogger community".
That’s amazing and scary at the same time. The power of the detonation and shockwave really surprised me.
Isn't Putin supposed to be in South Africa at some point ? They should have a word with him while he visits.
How is he able to get there safely anyway? Even if he is perfectly safe, how does he feel safe traveling that distance?
Its a long, long way from Russia.

Wouldnt putin ve arrested if he goes?
See the post above yours. The South African government may be able to get away with not arresting him at the BRICS summit in August.
I think is most likely that they will move to a BRICS country that is nit compliant to the ICC. Would create a crazy precedent and would not look good on SA
It would be bad for any country to attempt to arrest Putin since he is still the President of Russia and Russians would simply respond militarily by attacking that country. This entire war has to therefore play itself out and result in Putin falling from within, and then assuming he survives, possibly face trial.
Traveling there shouldn't be an issue since no one is going to attack his planes. The complicating factor is that Putin has an ICC arrest warrant which the South Africans would need to comply with, although I hear they are attempting to change their domestic law so the President of SA can decide whether or not to arrest someone (which would be their way of choosing to not arrest him if he came).
Why not though?
I know its not in the spirit of "normality", or even established rules, but if NATO can shoot his plane down, or force him down, i'd say go for it.
He is a wanted war criminal, russian leader or not, the western world should act like it.
But then, even Erdogan has invited him to Turkey, that sure is some pickle, literal NATO territory.
There would be a few problems.
1. International Law isn't an actual thing if large nations can ignore it at will. There are about 40 countries who are non-signatories to the ICC (The US and Russia included), so it couldn't used as a pretext to arrest Putin.
2. Russia would attack any country that attempted to arrest Putin on a foreign trip, and if the arresting country were a NATO state, then that could trigger article 5 once Russia retaliated.
If it was a smaller non-nuclear state then it would be fairly straight forward, but the fact that its the world's largest nuclear power, which also happens to be an authoritarian dictatorship, this makes it unrealistic due to the above two reasons.
As long as he is Russian president. If he loses that title it might be eenacted quickly.Yeah, so his arrest warrant is all just for show, as i later edited.
I've never seen this before. Looks like they're attempting to clear the entire field at once.
As I heard Malcolm Nance say, "They have enough of these to clear a path from Kyiv to Moscow". I'm sure that's a slight exaggeration, but apparently they have a lot.

I saw a video of one a few weeks ago, and it’s really cool. It’s a relatively cheap rocket that tows a bunch of explosives on a cable (5 pounds of C4 per foot). The US version can clear a 100m by 8m strip.
