Russian invasion of Ukraine | Fewer tweets, more discussion

It means don’t interfere unless you’re prepared for MAD.

Threatening the world with nuclear war should justify every possible sanction, seizure, or embargo of Russia.

The West should just do whatever it wants and then deny it like Russia does. Unfortunately, Putin is too unhinged to risk it.

BBC's Clive Myrie and Elise Doucett were reporting live from Kiev tonight. Thought it was brave of them.

China calling on all sides for restraint and mentioning the historical issues with China (so it aligns with their views on Taiwan, etc.).

The Security Council, as always, is completely worthless.

Yeah I believe it was Shaw, John Holliman, and Peter Arnette broadcasting from the Rashid Hotel in Baghdad.
Yeah, all three of them. Shaw is more recognized because he was the main man sent originally to interview Saddam a short time before the attack.

The UN is generally worthless. Just listen to how feckless the various speakers sound.

I don't want to make too much light of this but it's a bit laughable to see a CNN reporter on a hotel balcony in Kyiv kitted in a body vest and helmet. They really treat the whole episode as entertainment.

Putin’s speech is kinda scary. Basically saying he’ll retaliate if anyone interferes.

Pretty sure it’s a company wide policy when in an active war zone.
