For Thread-mark purposes. No one is watching this it seems.
I am. That was one of the most enthralling yet frustrating halves of rugby I've ever seen in my entire life.

Namibia should go for a drop goal here...
You do get the feeling that if Namibia get the next score they'll go on and win. Georgia are on the verge of a mental collapse with the errors they've made all game.
2 men down, nice central position and rucking well... they should have gone for it. Shortly after they gave away a turnover.
I am surprised by how little drop goals are used these days
To put into context, Namibia with a plethora of yellow cards could still have won this match if they'd thought what you're thinking when they had that fabulous position near the start of the second half. Down 2 men and the Georgians standing way back, surely there was no better time to try it.
Yeah and not just this match I have felt all through the tournament thar teams don't really like using it that much these days
Exactly, even at the end with two minutes left they got into a great position but their penalty taker passed it rather than attempting a drop goalI guess they think they're deadly at possession and crap at kicking, or something. It's a surprise considering you have a very high percentage of getting the ball back again off the 22 dropout.

What I never understand, is why people seem to go for them when they get a penalty advantage?
You have the penalty and a likely 3 points already? Why not gamble on getting 7 points and then come back for the 3?
It was..over 70 minutes including stoppages..but the beauty of it is that there is no time wasting here, it was just great and lucky defending by Namibia.I am. That was one of the most enthralling yet frustrating halves of rugby I've ever seen in my entire life.
You do know that now that you have mentioned it, some big nation will probably be knocked out by drop goal...its going to happen..with the knockouts coming up, expect to see them increase exponentially.I am surprised by how little drop goals are used these days
In a way, it's the fashionable tactic. It's turned out to be something high percentage for the a few of the Tier 1 nations (think how it ended up deciding the 6 Nations if you think of Henshaw's try) so it's become very appealing.
Yes, remember that they beat Tonga themselves, and Tonga isnt beating NZ. But regardless of that result, they've qualified. Is Georgia now qualified for the 2019 RWC regardless of the result of NZ vs Tonga?
Well.. after having my mind blown by Ireland last night, it's back to the rugby and desperately hoping for more of the same on Sunday. For now, the All Blacks are in toon
