Rugby League Super League 2010

:D

The lad done good again it sounded, Kyle Eastmond goes from strength to strength and dominated the game. I've said it for the past year or so on here but this kid is outstanding and is phased by nothing. He is the future of Saints and GB in my opinion.

I've so many Warrington fans on my facebook who before the game were giving it large saying how it was there year whereas saints and their fans went about things quietly and took the spoils.

A very satisfying result made all the better with Leeds getting turned over yet again.

For the next two years, definately. Then he'll feck off to the boring code

What a talent he is

To be fair, the drain of talent from the game hasn't been as extensive as I expected since Union went professional.

Agree with your assessment of the code, though.

Gutted with todays news that Sia Soliola has ruptured knee ligaments and will be out for a year. for anyone to suffer such an injury is bad, bad news but for it to be a young guy who's travelled to the other side of the world to make a career for himself makes it that bit worse. I genuinely feel sorry for the guy and hope to see him back in the redvee next season.

Poor lad :(

Wigan vs Leeds tonight

Am looking forward to this game, Leeds have surely got to turn it around at some point

Not tonight though. They've a load of injuries and Wigan are in good form.

The Easter derby against Bradford is more likely to be their season launcher.

Wigan by 12 tonight ;)

Just hope Wire can beat Wakey after last week. We normally self-destruct for about 6 weeks of the season after our customary defeat by Saints :nervous:

What's the rule if your own hands are under the ball, as Burrow's own hands looked to be the one's mainly under the ball

If that's ok, then yeh, it was a try imo.

Anyway, 6-0 Wigan nice try, Ganson hasn't had a good game so far in my opinion, missing a lot for both sides

As the commentators pointed out, they often have 3/4 people in the tackle, and it's going to take time to get all those players off, that for me is just good play

But if Wigan are committing a lot to the tackle, there has to be space elsewhere

It's more the time it takes for them to get off the tackled player that grates with everyone, rather than the numbers they commit to the tackle. Whether it's 2 or 3 players they hold on for 7+ seconds.

They make Huddersfield look like angels at the play-the ball. It's cheating and spoiling tactics at it's worst.

But time on the ground and players committed go hand in hand, if you commit four players to a tackle, then the tackler at the very bottom can't get off until the other three have, that is going to take time. I don't see a problem with that, if it takes as long with only two players in there, then yeh, that's a penalty.

Anyway, try Wigan after breaks by Robert and then Richards

Fielden is having a mare tonight, he's definitely having a good season.

Richards make the kick, could be a big one that, especially as Burrow missed an equally tough one

12-4

I officially declare our season over.

Come on mate, once your players are back you'll beat most teams. On a positive note, your team will be fresher than most at the back end of the season.

For now though, have a pint or 5 to numb the pain at the thought of Wire finishing above yous

You can't say that, you'll still make the top 8, just how far up you can make it and get weeks off come the play-offs

EDIT
J Tomkins scores, 16-4, kick to come

Some shocking injuries make it hard and it's given the others some hope....after the last few seasons we shouldn't complain really I spose.

Now ya just being daft ;)

Yep, but the players will come back and you'll still be able to make a run at the play-offs, I won't lie, I'd be surprised if you won it as you'll be coming from a low play-off seeding

But it's certainly possible

:nono: It's going to be an all Lancashire top 3 Wire, Saints, and the Pies(in no particular order).

We just beat Wakey 32-16. At last our season doesn't disintegrate after the annual Saints defeat.

Next up the shitty reds on Good Friday. Should be another 2 points in the post-Saints period :D

Yeah, heard this earlier and I was surprised as well. Smith's a decent player and it certainly seems premature to return to League already. Perhaps it comes down to the "personal reasons" cited in the article.

I don't know, if you're going to switch codes, you should at least give it everything to make a go of it, so perhaps the personal reasons is it

Is he Leeds-born, as could be family, perhaps his wife/gf didn't move South

I think he is a Leeds lad AKA sheep-shagging scum.

Wouldn't have minded him at Wire. He'd be a much better bet at fullback than Richard "Rick per game" Mathers. Mathers is decent but Smith would have been class there

For such an intesive sport as RL, it seems ridiculous that there is another round of matches on Monday.

Top 2 won again while the Giants have been on the end of a shock loss against Salford

Easter Monday results:

Hull 10-29 Wire (we nilled a team in the 2nd half for the 6th time and now officially possess the best defence in SL :D)

Pies 54-14 Wakey

Bulls 20-16 Crusaders

Salford 30-18 Hudds :eek::eek:

Quins 12-52 Hull KR

Cas getting slapped by Saints as we speak
