No doubt it's the new coach, but I assume you are presuming they have just lifted their game to impress him, I don't see it as that, it's that he's actually improved them.
Just look at how fit and strong they are, look at the way they've gone about and changed the shape of players like Riddell and Paleassina (sp?).
I agree though that we'll see how good they are when they face Leeds and St Helens, and other teams catch up fitness wise to them, and whether they can sustain their game over the whole season, as that would be an immense physical effort.
And yeh, they were a bit fortunate to beat Warrington last week, what with Solomona's drop, but it wasn't anything to do with Briers, they looked fitter and stronger than Warrington, when Warrington tired, Wigan came on strong and had them on the ropes, and used their momentum well, Briers couldn't have stopped that, he couldn't have stopped players who were tired comiitting penalties. And then Warrington came on strong late as it was do or die for them.
