Rugby League Super League 2010

Not rigged, I don't believe in all that nonsense. It's just one of those things that seems to happen an awful lot.

Wire never seem to get a SL team at home either but it's just luck or lack of in our case :(

We've been lucky at Saints to get the home ties we have because from a fans point of view they are generally better games to watch than super league just because of what is at stake. Us getting you at our place twice over the past few seasons has been great.

As for this draw it couldn't be better for Saints, i'm torn between wanting Leeds or Wigan to win and I expect you to beat Bradford.

Barrow should be beaten quite comfortably but they've got a fair bit of Super league experience and in jamie Rooney they've got a player who can cause most teams a problem or two so we'll have be guard against complacency.

Why isn't Leeds v Warrington on TV tonight

I believe they try and show each team at least a certain number of times in the first half of the season, the matches are pre-determined by Sky. This weekend being the last round of pre-demtermined fixtures.

I suppose Wakefield and Bradford fans would be annoyed if they weren't on tele tonight.

Looking forward to this one, should be a cracker, though no doubt we will miss Monaghan and Myler.

This will be our downfall IMO. Any team would struggle without two of their three pivots, more so when Monas replacement is one trick Mick :nervous:

Leeds 22-10 Wire IMO :( Hope I'm horribly wrong.

I appreciate what you say about tv scheduling but it's been a joke this season!

Saints Warrington got ignored in favour of Cats vs Crusaders along with tonights and some others that escape my mind. I'd much rather watch wire leeds tonight than us and salford tomorrow. Surely there's a way to include all the teams but still show the bigger games!

With regards to Warrington missing a couple tonight I do honestly believe your downfall will be lack of depth. But in saying that I guess i'm comparing your team against saints, and in fairness I don't think many have the depth we have. The fortunate thing is for us a lot of fans and in some cases coaches don't appreciate the talent we have in the young lads coming through. We could lose Pryce and Eastmond a potential GB half back pairing and replace them with Wheeler/Lomax/Roby/Wilkin and not suffer a great deal.

I know i've developed a habit of harping on about our kids but i'm genuinely excited with what we're developing at the minute. Shaun Magennis is one who's yet to get his chance in the pack but could potentially be future GB, hopefully he'll get a run out tomorrow.

Myler I was aware of, but what's up with Monaghan? The Warrington website has him in the travelling party.

26-16. Mighty good prediction.

Aye, knew we'd get beat by that sort of margin. It was a 26-16 hammering in reality, very flattering for us.

We camped in their 20 for 15 minutes and only came up with 6 points, that's just not good enough if you are looking to win at Headingley. I must pay credit to Leeds though, they defended like trojans and were brutally clinical in attack shown by the fact they entered our 20 only twice in the first 30 mins and came up with 12 points.

Just hope we can learn from the defeats against Wigan, Saints, and Leeds this season. We can beat them as we've proved in the past but letting Saints and Leeds build double figure leads on you leaves you no chance at all.

Great game, Salford beat Saints 42-34. That incident involving the Wellens injury typifies the game for me. First the guy getting up from what looked a really bad injury, then the Salford player applauding Wellans as he recovered from the knock. It puts most footballers to shame to be honest.

Huddersfield 20-22 Wigan, were 20-12 down, and it sounds like Huddersfield are hanging on

Scratch that, Wigan just score (Coley)

EDIT
And now Coley sinbinned

I took Wigan and Hull KR yesterday with the handicaps, thought Wigan would win, and if they are going to win then I might as well make some money on it.

Wire were pretty woeful on Friday night, apart from the first and the last ten minutes we were well beaten. Leeds ripped us apart at times and were worthy winners, though if we'd started playing a little earlier it could have gotten interesting.

Hoping Monaghan will be fit again soon, as someone else said, we can probably afford to have one of the Briers/Myler/Monaghan trio out but two is just too much for us.

People were moaning abotu having the Salford - Saints game on the tele on Saturday night, personally I thought it was marvelous.

Those kids didn't seem up to too much over the weekend did they James? ;)

Well Smith was ok wasn't he? ;)

Nope certainly not, but it's down to poor management if you ask me. The left had side has Foster in at centre, lomax on the wing and dixon in the second row - any coach worth his salt would have advised his team to attack down that very inexperienced side and that's exactly what they did. I said prior to kick off we'll struggle down that side - too add to it Lomax is a half back by trade not a winger, so it didn't help. I only hope for the kids sake that they don't let it affect them the same way a bad game affected Tyrer.

Not Super League, but watch out for the first State of Origin game on Sky Sports tomorrow morning. Hoping for a New South Wales series victory for the first time in several years.

Peacock nearly took Tompkins' head off there and John Kear said it was an accident.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a time to lead for the first time in the game.

So i'm watching the French Open on the red button and they take it off for some fecking rugby league forum.

The question I have is why does this shite even exist now that the proper version of the game went professional years ago. Surely that move made it a redundant sport?

Horses for course mate. If you think watching 80 minutes of the ball being kicked into the stands is "the proper" version, then crack on. Personally I prefer a running, handling, passing game.

By the way, Wigan were a bit unlucky today. Good game considering the conditions.

Yeh, that's what I thought as well, I thought Farrell was a bit unfortunate to go to the bin for that

But it was an enjoyable game nonetheless

Good game this one, didn't expect Bulls to give them such a game

EDIT
That should have been a repeat set for Bradford

Always thought it would be a close game personally. Cracking game, I thought Warrington opened up Bradford more frequently than vice versa and deserved the win. Just watch the semi final draw: Wire v Leeds and Saints v Catalans.

Another wonderful afternoon in Yorkshire for Wire in the Challenge Cup.

Don't care who we get in the next round, we can beat anyone on our day and by the time the semis roll round, Myler, Carvell, Wood and LAnderson should all be back. And maybe we any luck, Clarke too.

Well played Bradford, great game.

CC semi draw is:

Wire v Catalans
Leeds v Saints

Let's just hope we don't choke against the French like Wigan did in 2007 :nervous:

Brilliant draw for Wire. Wonder where the neutral venue will be - Calais?!
