Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

The worst thing is, if he'd gone to Liverpool or City you just know they'd be absolutely flying and we'd be ruing whichever managerial choice we made instead.

The club is fecking cursed.
There is a reason Liverpool nor City employed him, that's because they weren't as dumb as our CEO and think that its ok to rip out the team you have to accommodate a hard headed manger with a only one tactic would be a success. All the while Club does not have funds.

I've always wanted him and I think he would turn this mess around, he's got a massive personality. I got shot down by posters on here, saying the football would be dull. I mean, it cant be as dull as Amorims football right now.
He's the one. His tactics suit English football and his team actually attack pretty well. It's a shame we can't convince him. No idea whos really the right fit for us.

Well done Amorim. Dented the confidence of our new signing. Take him off at half time when he was doing okay.

SACK him now before he does anymore damage to this club.

He's bringing Dorgu off which means Dalot stays at LWB for the whole game...........

It's impossible to defend that. Whatever else happens that is brainless, clueless management.

Now I see why Ashworth fell out with berrada and co, he knew this formation was shte.

I can't understand how you can watch Dalot on the left for months (like the fans have), and then arrive at the conclusion to start Dorgu on the right. I just don't get it at all. It's one of the excuses I have made on occasion for Amorim. "He doesn't even have anyone that can play on the left". Now it looks like the Dorgu signing was to fix the right side. Also, the way Amad and Mainoo play, they are generally inverted a bit more centrally, so wouldn't it make sense to not have the wing-backs also inverted, so they can overlap?

Is it just because I don't have a UEFA Pro License?
A Chelsea STH friend of mine once said most football managers at the top level are glorified P.E. teachers and not to be taken in by them. Ignored him at the time because they sacked everyone and we had Fergie.

Starting to come round to his way of thinking.

Before we try to pin this on the players, we didn't look this shit when we played Leicester under Ruud.

The simple fact is that we cannot create chances. Everything is slow and predictable.
Yeah completely agree.

Leicester are playing with intent. We look like we've taken heroin before kick-off.

If Rashford turns it on at Aston Villa then I'll second this. It sucks but we need results or feck thinking we'd make the same mistake a 5th time.

Dorgu off at HT. Unless its for an injury or precaution, its a batshit crazy call. Play the new guy on the wrong side, he is one of the brighter spots, and then take him off at HT. Amorim better pray he wins this game, otherwise he will have a lot of questions to answer.

Sack him in the summer and get Simone Inzaghi in. I'm sure he is planning to leave Inter.

You took a risk, it didn't pay off. Now don't delay the inevitable. We cannot do another midseason sacking and fritter away next season too.

I feel like I’d still have a lot more faith on him if we actually played a 343 and not a 532 or whatever it is. Was pretty upbeat in the beginning but it’s been so bad that’s it’s hard to not have doubts.

I’ve lost all faith in him, it’s all good and well being a media darling because you give them good sound bites but this football is beyond diabolical. Sack him. He makes ten Hag look like Arrigo Sacchi.

Oh 100%

If he looked and spoke line Graham Potter I guarantee he would have nowhere near the cult following on here that he has.

The cult who insist upon sticking with a dogshit system that doesn’t fit our players that absolutely none of them would have advocated for 6 months ago.
It's the United fanbase, he would anyway. Most of us are too wrapped up in the cult of the manager.

I just want the right backs on the RIGHT side and the left one on the LEFT. Guys, is that too much ask to ask for?

Ruud did a better job has caretaker against the same team!
Yes because most of the times, simple is better.
When you try to overcomplicate things, ask players never heard things, new positions, new patterns etc you destabilize the entire team. That is what Amorim is doing for 3 months and we are fooled into thinking he is bringing us to a new level of super-football. Nonsense.

The maddest thing is if the managers were on opposite teams tonight I’d be almost certain United would be winning

And I say that as someone who didn’t want to keep Ruud on

So what really is the deal here? Did he come with a plan and we said do that, or have we given him direction? If it's the former.... I think he needs some of the latter.

I don’t know whats going on here. Mainoo as striker last game and then play the new player out of position. Is there a curse on this club that every new manager decides to make the most braindead decisions ever?

Despicable from him tonight, get a new LWB for his shit defensive formation and then you play him on the wrong side on his debut and then sub him at half time because the rest of the team are shit. I hate this manager.

Maybe a bit OTT, but it is really baffling. Especially when he was arguably our best player in the first half

Is he expecting to get an entirely new squad in the summer? Or is he seeing any progress? It's kind of fecking insane
He's not going to change it. This is what he is. You could lose 200 games in a row, he'd still do it. We knew this before getting him. We have to survive long enough for him to get players to play the system.

My biggest concern is we give him a summer transfer window, spend all of our money on yet another profile of player, and then we're still shite, Amorim gets sacked, and the next manager inherits another crap and disjointed squad.

It's impossible to grade Amorim based on the players we have, but his inability to adapt is a massive problem.

He's doing himself no favours. Wing backs on the wrong sides, Mainoo and Bruno the wrong way around. It's just odd.
This system and amorims selections seems to manage to place most players away from their best position. Obviously the players bare a lot of blame too but it sort of seems like we are being setup to fail

Fair enough, maybe I was writing that while a little emotional but this guy isn’t the answer. He is over complicating the simple things, it’s infuriating to have to endure this muck every week. Ditch this rubbish formation and play the players in their best positions, at least until the summer. Then get in the players that suit the way he wants to play.

Sacked in the morning?

Solskjaer, TenHag, Rangnick. Van Gaal. Even in some way Mourinho got sacked for lot less.

Absolutely p*ss poor. Seriously worried we’ll get dragged into relegation batter. I’ve been massively pro Amorim until these past two games. Big questions over the Board’s decision making too

Starting to irritate me now with some of his decisions. It’s all well and good saying he needs to bring his own players but whats the fecking point when he plays them out of position anyway?
