Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Not sure when was the last time I saw ManUtd team not imploding after being down to 10.

That's more like it.

Players who work hard and fight for the full match, that's the bare minimum. Everyone else can feck off

Here, I take back my Bayindir criticism. I was wrong. On the internet. In spectacular muppet-like fashion. He redeemed himself and I hadn't seen anything from him before to suggest he would. Here's hoping he pushes on.

More like Get-In-There.

Fair play!

Amorim has definitely shifted the mentality after a couple of weeks on the training ground. Everybody is putting in a shift now.

Hopefully, when we inevitably drop points due to individual errors again, people remember performances like this.

Unfortunately, we all saw what happened when we dropped points due to individual mistakes after outplaying City at the Etihad. There's a section itching to criticise him.

He has completely lifted us. Everybody looks confident, haven't seen us playing with swagger in a long long time in games like this.

Superb, he fixed the set piece issue and has our mentality back to where it needs to be

There was a moment first half when we had the ball on the left with lots of open space on the right - three players all pointed to the right to shift the ball. It’s such a small moment in the game, but it’s a massive shift.

Every player seems to know their job, and the way we need to play. Still so much work to do, but it’s very refreshing to see.

I’m sorry, but I wasn’t happy with that performance at all. Chuffed that we won and credit to Amorim and the players for keep on fighting for 120 minutes. That wouldn’t have happened a couple of months ago and that’s a testimony to Amorim’s influence here.

However, I don’t like how we set up at all. We didn’t look to create anything for most of the match. I know we’re early in the process and that Dalot was sent off. But we looked completely clueless on the first half. Our pressing wasn’t working and we didn’t even try to play through them. Instead, we resorted to hoof ball which obviously didn’t work with Højlund as the only target.

He’s such a clever and inventive manager. Love him to bits.

We were 1-0 up restricting Arsenal to basically no good chances before Dalot went off, and still defended very well for 60 minutes while down to 10 men.

The only way to play Arsenal efficiently is to give them the ball which he has recognized well.

If we win the next few games and take the pressure out regarding the league, I believe we can go on a run for the El and Fa cup. Don't care if we finish 10th or 12th this year. Just let him implement his system without going to pragmatic, aka counter attacking, football in order to scrap some wins.

There's still a lot of work to be done clearly. But get the defence right first, and then we can move on to sorting out the attack. We can't keep shipping 2 or 3 goals every match.

We'd be rolling for the rest of the season if we can win the next few & get the momentum going. We have to be the front runners for Europa with him in charge.

Lets go!

This post deserves a ban.

3 home games now.

I was very worried but these two games could be the turning point

Win those 3 games

negotiated 2 tough away games, got positive results in both, and more importantly, managed to get these lot to give it 100% in football matches ( I called them lazy cnuts before, I will not call them that anymore as long as they keep this up).

Now, we have 3 home games, hopefully they do not revert back to type and maintain the same level of focus and hardwork.

Edit: I am not fussed about tactics and style of play, today we parked the bus and defended resolutely, not much for tactics and all, but I wanted these players to give it 110% and work their socks off, if we want whatever tactics Amorim uses to work, he has to get them to work super hard, only then tactics will work, opponents especially in the PL give 100% and make you suffer and the only way to compete is first to give it everything

Or Amorim realized they are foul/set piece merchants and didn't want to play into that.

He’s the One! Feel such an relief we finally found our manager after all these years. Just give him time.

Following up that performance at Anfield with that victory at the Emirates despite being undermanned for 60 minutes and that gift of a penalty...

You've got me firmly in your camp Mr. Amorim you sly dog you
