Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Fair play to Amorim. I have been critical of him lately. However, his statement that it would be better after he had some time on the training pitch has proven true.

He has demonstrated that he can take a team that's on the floor confidence wise, lift it, and put a proper idea of playing into it.

First time for a long time that I have felt any optimism about where we're at.

With a better frontline and lwb we win that game. We looked a really well coached team. Better than in that sense than Liverpool inteterestingly.

Had a full week of training and we look way better we need to build on that now

Brilliant today

Much much better. For me the most important thing from today was we looked a real threat going forward today and that was despite having Maz and Dalot as the wing backs. A really positive performance that we need to build on. I felt we needed a strong performance today and we got it.

Great, great. A few more decent results in the coming weeks should be enough to take the pressure off and ensure that he'll be around to get us ready for next season.

Looking forward to what he can do with some proper players who are well suited to his style!

Get him a striker and we are in business
Let him stay with us until the end of the season and then you got your striker. With Gyökeres you win this.

He didn’t half get a tune out of them today. That effort level has to be the baseline moving forward.

I hope tonight gives a bit of confidence to those who lost faith in him by calling him out of depth. He knows what he is doing. It might not always work, but he isn't clueless.

Manager got it right and was constantly trying to push the team forward and be positive …. At Anfield. Give him time and he will get this team right

I loved that we continued to attack in the last minutes of the game and didn’t sit back for a point. That’s a huge change in mentality we haven’t seen before. Hope it’s a sign of things to come.

The one thing I love the most about him. In injury time, he was willing the players on to go on attack. That is a proper Manchester United manager.

Let's stop moaning and strap in for the ride, support the team going forward.
Everything is possible in the future with this manager.

Legend goes that he's never been in a hot air balloon, because his massive cojones would bring it down.

He's been here for a few weeks and is going to Anfield, Etihad, and Emirates and trying to go toe-to-toe. Keeping possession, pushing the team up, making offensive changes when we're behind. Other than LVG (and it took him a while to get there), no manager since SAF has attempted to play like this against the big sides.

A few very noticeable changes this week. The wing backs played a LOT higher up and provided a constant threat (Dalot was great) This so important when playing 3-4-3. Also out defenders played far more on the front foot. Popping up in midfield, challenging for the the first balls.

I think we can see that with better wing backs this formation has a lot of potential. We dominated the probable champions for large periods of the game today!

Batman with prep-time

He's going to restore the feeling. Just need a few transfer windows

A lot of apologies need to be made to Amorim and his system.

He gets nearly a full week with the majority of his squad available and we see a much better performance against the best team in the world right now.

ETH managed to lose 7-0 at Anfield and 6-3 at the Etihad in his 1st attempts. Ruben has taken 4 points in his first attempts.

If he had one of the renowned striking Victors up front, we could have won.

Don’t think I’ve seen such a good Anfield performance since Juanfield under LVG.

Looks like he was able to light a spark in the team with his comments about not having enough leaders. The desire the team showed today is exactly what has been missing. No tactic or transfer can fix a team that doesn't have the desire to win. Today the team showed they wanted to win.

Hope that gives some of the doubters a bit more belief in him. A very strong performance, especially considering our form and our league position.

We've had some fecking terrible luck and made so many stupid errors recently - I really hope this is the point that things level out and we can start to get some solid results. The players should take a lot of confidence from the game, but crucially they just need to keep putting in the effort too

Has anyone taken on Liverpool at Anfield like that since Van Gaal? Went toe to toe and nearly beat them. Refreshing.

"343 ain't it"!
