Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Really need wingback position sorted given how crucial it is to our game and competent striker upfront at very least, another midfielder in the mould of Ugarte would do wonders to his system as well.

He got the team selection wrong on Monday by putting unathletic players around an unathletic midfield and he needs to stop with the 2 defensive wingbacks against lesser sides, so he's by no means perfect, but we have gone away to Arsenal, City and Liverpool in the last few weeks and at least tried to play and be positive against all of them which we haven't done in such a long time. There is still a massive job to fix this club and this team, so many things including most of the players are subpar, but give him better players in a couple of positions (wingback and striker) and I think we will significantly improve as a starting point.

Got a great tune out of them today, he’s not got a top squad but there is a core of players here that he can get a lot more out of than we have seen this season. Hopefully as everyone is already saying, more time to train will lead to better understanding on the pitch.

Honestly think us missing out on Europe this season will be a blessing in disguise

Picked the best possible team today, unfortunate not to have better wingbacks and striker.

Let's calm. We've one point in 4 matches and the last time we got a decent result away, we fell apart in the following games.

Good signs today, all the players gave 100%, first time I felt the system looked good for the foreseeable. Our top scorer has 4 goals. We need a striker and quick. Need a good performance against Southampton next week. Anything from the Arsenal game is a bonus.

The players showed up for him today, he gets credit for that, he needs to make sure they keep it up and not allow them to not work as hard as they did today.

Best performance at Anfield in years to add to what was probably the best one at the Etihad. Pleased for him today.

Honestly the challenge is getting this from these players every week rather than just for big games. They've just shown they can do it.

You won't win every week but you should be able to do the basics like that every game.

They didnt show up for him. They showed up because it was Liverpool.

Regardless, we looked like we had a good game plan today. Didn't look like we were going to get spanked at anytime in the game.

Loved that we were going for it at the end. A lesser manager would’ve parked the bus, especially in our situation.

He will get us there. We just need to trust him and give him the time. There’s something about this manager

Absolutely! He deserves kudos for getting a tune out of the players today - their mentality must have been shot to feck after the last few weeks.

Maybe him saying we were in a relegation battle was our bottom and now we slowly get back to the top

The players are not as bad some on here think. Our tactics were to stay compact and exploit the space Liverpool were inevitably going leave in behind especially in wide areas. And we took advantage of that and created many problems for Liverpool and you don't create problems for a strong team like Liverpool by having a weak attack.

The issue Amorim needs to solve is that when we play teams where the onus is on us to take the game to them and create space for opportunities, when they (the opponent) are sitting in a compact block is how we're going to impose our game on them. Liverpool kept on attacking throughout the game today and for a number of years now we have shown that we can get results against the best teams by playing more conservatively and keeping it tight to then expoilt the space in-behind. Players like Fred, McTominay and AWB played well in that type of game state but to take the next step we need to become more consistent at beating the so called lesser teams when the onus will be on us to take the game to them.

When you take the game to the opposition then things like pace and athleticism become a factor because you're leaving spaces for the opponent to exploit due to the high volume of players committed into the opponents half.

Liverpool were actually sitting in towards the end. Says a lot.

This is the first manager since Louis that goes toe to toe with the big boys.

What he can do with just an additional training session. Backs up his talk. I like this man. Give him what he needs (patience and competent WBs/STs) and I truly believe he will be the first manager after SAF to truly bring us some form of sustained success.

Get this guy a Rashford for Osimhen swap
He left Rashford at home again(!)
Marcus has no way back does he. There was that tweet about him training well or similar, but must have been PR bollocks.

The most noticeable change today was that we were not afraid to pass and move forward. After a long long time it seemed like the players actually wanted to receive the ball rather than lackadaisically passing on the responsibility. Massive improvement in that aspect. Hope we build on this.

Ruben true to his words. Said he needed more time on the training ground. A week prep for today's game and seen a more better and more organised United

Glazers, INEOS: Back this man to the hilt.
Watching his interview and had the exact same thought. How good we were today makes him mad about how bad we were previously.

He’s also not even taking credit for today. The players tried harder today than previously, and that makes the system works. No system works if the players on the pitch down tools
