Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

We have no attacking threat from anyone in the team. Until we fix that we get what we deserve.

This was how it was before he arrived and he's had no time to train and no new players
Z, Hojlund, Antony, Amad are paid around 250 mil euros. Amad (cheapest one) is the only worth keeping.

I said relatively early into Amorim's tenure that I would judge him on what I see, rather than what I would like to see.

Some people thought I was attacking him. Not the case. I like the guy and I think he's a very good coach. However, that's not a guarantee of anything at United. A decade of disaster shows that.

Some will point to the underlying metrics being good until recently. However, I remember making similar arguments for Ralf in the early days. Didn't help us against Boro in the Cup or against Watford when we had like 30 shots without winning.

Having been through the boom and bust cycle several times I am not really expecting much. Amorim is determined to live or die by his philosophy. Fair enough. At present there's nothing to make you think it's going to go anywhere. I hope I am wrong.

I'll be surprised if he last the season. We are so screwed in every department. Everything is messed up, Players can't pass, run, shoot and don't have a clue on how to actually play standard football. Like theyve never played games before.

He starts the team with 6 defensive players. What attacking threat does he think that will offer?
He doesn't though as wing back's are attackers in his system. He doesn't have the personnel.

A coach has to be pragmatic in situations like this and we're not seeing it from this guy at the moment. Add to that his recent baffling isolation of Casemiro which looks like a shocking decision as he's our best midfielder.
It’s strange Casemiro has hardly featured under Amorim. Also Erikson who was actually one of our better players this season has hardly featured.

A lot of these players do deserve their inevitable relegation though.

As i said after Spurs. Until our manager maakes a rant about refs, all 50:50 decisions will go against us.
He won’t do that. We really need a prime Fergie or prime Mourinho to turn this around and put fear in the refs.

Surprised if he lasts the season

Whatever he's doing, it ain't working.

Can someone re-open the relegation thread because that's where we will be after Newcastle and Liverpool games.

Your first comment is at odds with the rest of it.

We absolutely deserve it. A new coach will be brought in to stop it from happening if it starts to look likely though.
As if that's going to make a bit of difference. For the record, a lot of the fanbase deserve a relegation too.

The pressure will be on him soon, can't see us beating Newcastle and Liverpool in the PL, or Arsenal in the FA Cup. That will have him on 2 wins, 1 draw and 5 losses in the PL, that's relegation form whichever way you look at it.

When he said when he came in there's work to be done and we'll suffer but then he says we also have to win games, well we're not winning games and I don't see these players motivated to even attempt to win them.

Just a few games ago it was his changes in game winning the match and Casemiro was past his best with legs gone.

How opinions change eh.

Unacceptable. A manager should also be able to adapt to the players he has. Play to their strengths. Most of the team who beat us so far don't have better players than the current United squad.

I'm very concerned that we'll find ourselves in a relegation scrap soon, I'm not joking. This has all the hallmarks of a team in relegation zone, that is bereft of confidence, has no identity, a rookie manager with no PL experience. Probably lacking money to bring in new players to arrest the slide down the table and struggling to offload highly paid players who no club wants to touch.

The players are a woefully mismatched group of lesser talents built by years of idiocy in the transfer market. It is not helping him in any way.

However he has to deal with the reality of what he has until he can make changes, this group can't play this system.

He is too married to the system specifically when you don't have players to make it work. Hate this 5 at the back.

Can’t judge him on the second half but first half went exactly how many of us predicted. Once again, we struggled to create anything as we play defenders as WBs.

We need to get behind him it’s obvious a double team of Pep and SAF couldn’t manage these fecking losers

His lineups are crap the last couple of games. Why play Mainoo ahead of Case? Why play Bruno so far up the pitch when he is utterly crap there due to his shit technique and lack of pace? Why play Dalot in the LWB position?
