Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Genuinely surprised people are turning on him this quickly

There were always going to be shit games this season, we all knew that going in

3-0 down at home to Bournemouth after already losing at home to Forest, this is an ambarrasment.

We wernt even this bad under Ten Hag.
We lost the same game 3-0 under him.

The fact of the matter is Bournemouth have a better attack than us. We spent so much money and what have we got to show for it? Plus it took them a while to get going as Iraola in his first few months was on the brink of getting sacked because they had not won a game for two months.

This isn’t a Slot situation, where he’s walked into a team that’s been coached well and has difference makers in attack.

Enough with the rotation. This squad is too terrible to keep rotating. Find your best 11 and run them into the ground until we get reinforcements.

And it needs to be a mass clearout this summer. No matter the financial cost.

It is not about tactics, systems bla3.

It is about the mind. Mentality first. This lot of players are weak mentally. Pussies.

This time we don't have Frasier Forster to gift us goals

It has. He needs to bin that formation. It’s never gonna work and it’s way too defensive. No excuse for such a defensive line-up at home vs. Bournemouth, it’s no wonder we don’t create anything.

Why? What’s the point? Going back to a formation which suits the players and gets the best out of them will only get United around 8-5 position.

Give him some time, today is frustrating but we need to atleast give him a chance.

The players are shite but why the feck are we playing 3-4-3?

Because that’s that his tactics are and he’s been successful with it. It we wanted him to come in and do something different then the whole appointment makes no sense.

Starting to worry if he’s another manager who doesn’t value proper central midfield control. The constant use of Fernandes in central midfield is a bit of a red flag to me. @Yagami

He’s obviously not going to bin the formation.

The formation is the one thing that I think he's actually done a pretty good job at, we look generally solid and hard to break down and certainly no less toothless than under ten Hag.

But that's kind of all for nothing if you do it for 80 minutes and then randomly have players being fecking morons.

It’s not the formation but for the love of god find your best team and play it. Stop with the crazy rotation.

No, he will get 2 years. I will judge him next season properly, this season for me will be very inconsistent. He is not a miracle worker, but i expected the appointment mid season to be badly timed, as he will get judged immediately without much time to train and no players to buy to strengthen.

You're not getting 2 fecking years here if you lose 3-0 to bournemouth at home

Bournemouth havent got a better attack than us and we should be beating the likes of Forest and Bournemouth easilly.

17 goals conceeded in 9 games under Amorim suggests he hasnt got a clue how to set us up defensively

The players are shite but why the feck are we playing 3-4-3?

Because that's the formation we will be playing long term. As the manager explained multiple times, if he does something different for short term gain then we will be worse off when we switch back to that formation at the start of next season, because we'll have missed months of adaptation.

If it hurts us in the short term, that's fine. Again as the manager said, their will be short term pain, these struggles aren't in any way unexpected. But what happens this season ultimately matters a lot less than starting the building process.

It's somewhat tactics too. When you have 5 defenders and still concede goals. When you have 2 wingbacks and expect them to play like wingers when they clearly cant. When you have midfielders who can't play in a midfield 2. I'd say tactics are a factor here.

Who else have we got? Eriksen and Casemiro can’t run. Mainoo has been hit and miss.

I think the last manager used up all of the patience people might have had

If this manager cannot do it nobody can we may as well feck it off

Especially when we had a spell under Ruud to compare it with. We looked decent in a 4-3-3.

I'm not expecting us to be world beaters, but this team is capable of beating forest and bournemouth at home.

Losing 3-0 is unacceptable.

Exactly. What's the point of playing Malacia then hooking him off at HT.

What a disaster. I wasn't expecting this. As bad as our current manager.

Wait until the summer, he has to improvise now. I expect two new midfielders

I'm not going to blame him. The biggest issue with Ten Hag was how he decimated the squad with £600m of dross.

It's a mountain to climb turning the mess he left around.

Honestly I'd give it another month or two.

If it doesn't improve just get rid quickly and move on to the next manager.

Working fine for chels. Why wouldn't it work for us.

Who else have we got? Eriksen and Casemiro can’t run. Mainoo has been hit and miss.
I know, which is why it’s a mitigated half-thought in my mind. We’ll see how he addresses it in January/summer window.

He's playing with shit players for a system they aren't good in. It happens. Best thing left is to focus on Europa League.

You’re vastly overrating our attackers.

I know he likes 3-4-3 but basically writing the season off trying to shoehorn a squad into the formation doesn't seem to make sense.

And on top of that, just too much rotation. Feels like we are waiting to go behind until he puts his next XI on the pitch.

All the hope, all the small positives, like the improvement in our overall play, the city win. All means nothing if we can't beat the likes of forest and Bournemouth at home FFS. And not just beaten, comprehensively outplayed.

We played Leicester twice during that spell and they are getting trounced by Wolves at home.

He's working with shit. Needs time to build his squad. Half these players wouldn't get a game for Bournemouth.

He should continue to rotate, specially at the back and in attack. Really seems to work. Why let players get a run of games in the same position?

absolutely and we will need two by pure necessity because we need to bin Eriksen and Casemiro. I’m just hoping we target right. It’s a free hit to get the profiles we’re missing in there.
