Round of 16 | Switzerland vs Italy | Germany vs Denmark

Not too much of a difference between Italy and England. I thought they were poor in the first game as well.
Yeap. Slovakia could knock England out. Not that they are as good as Swiss, but this game shows how much heart matters in such competitions and there is no heart in England squad, just like there is no heart in Italy. Kane's idiotic "why don't you have pity on us" interview was very concerning

Don't think it's even a debate that it's the worst group of Italian players in decades to be fair. Switzerland have been a pretty decent side for a few years now.

Italy played like England have been playing, slow and safe. If we can’t up our off the ball movement, we’ll be outplayed by the Swiss in a similar fashion - they’re a good side.

Wanted Italy but fully deserved for Switzerland. I hope these Italian players go home to overcooked pasta.

I really don't think england, or italy lack 'heart'. In England's case, they lack a good coach.

England has incredible fire power up front though. Italy's attack is depleted of talent

Incredible is one way of describing it.

Not well. Expectations weren't high but this is downright offensive. Spalletti will be crucified over Di Lorenzo for sure, at least, and probably a bunch of other things too. And I'm not sure we should stick with him after this
I thought you’d lose, but I thought it’d at least be competitive. Worst I’ve seen an Italy side in a tournament KO stage. Deserve what comes their way.

Surely you arent claiming that Italy has anywhere near the quality of the England forwards?

Grealish and Rashford would be stars for Italy and England just leaves them at home.
Not comparing player quality like that. England is obviously better so it’s criminal how this Italian side could put up more goals compared to them.

Did Liverpool bin Shaqiri off too soon? He's having a fantastic tournament.

Also why the feck did Arsenal sell Xhaka?

Happy Switzerland are through, they play some really nice football.

I actually think the Italy manager is one of the best in the Euros. He did great things with Napoli.

He just cant polish the turd that is the Italian squad.
He’s good but had some weird personnel decisions. Persisting with Scamacca being one of them.

Oh yes. 100% true. Just shows how bad of a job Southgate is doing. He is on the easy side of the draw so his results could very well look great again

Put Albania and Croatia in England's group and the figures would be higher.

Of course the team has not clicked yet in transitions, but Italy has nowhere the talent England has in attack.

You can't polish a turd

Didnt Xhaka leave for free? Cant blame him for leaving with Arsenal fans booing him over the years.

Shaqiri is just resurrected for tournaments to put in some great performances. He is like that short Mexican goalkeeper. Average/okay club careers but stand outs at Euros and World Cups.

The whole Italy team was disjointed today, very sad to see and unusual.
