Personally I think we need and will buy 2 CM players.Possibley in January.Barkley should be one of them along with an older and more established player.Barkley has all the tools to mature into the box to box, attacking midfielder we have craved. He can be the player Anderson never can in a million years. We need someone wiith the ability to go forwards and beat men if required.I like him!

If we sign someone in January, I think he is the only real option. I honestly can't see us bringing in someone from a Champions League club.
I can. There is no point worrying about someone being unable to play in this seasons CL.They can play in the prem and wait until next year for Europe.More than ever the prem is our priority.I agree with Raoul.Barkley and Draxler would be brilliant business.

Yeh, I understand and accept the view that we can just use someone in the league. But I cant see the club spending big money and not beig able to get full use out of the player right from the start.

Only if they take Fellaini back.

They did us over in that deal, no reason why they won't ask for ridiculous money.

Moyes signed the wrong Everton player, going back for Barkley now will cost too much.

Hopefully Moyes is looking at the likes of Barkley and Draxler - preferaby both.
Definitely more realistic than Fabregas or even Thiago.

Still not sure about Draxler, who he supports in Premier League but if United value English talents like Powell and Zaha then Barkley should be a way bigger priority in terms of hunt for domestic talents.

Don't think there's much of a chance for draxler, and he'd cost his release clause (around 38 mil I think) but he's better then any young English player there is, that's for sure.

like the player, wouldn't mind United getting him in at all, however our midfield needs an injection of talent which could instantly raise the standards of it, not one who we'd have to groom for a number of years before reaping the rewards.

Everton would never sell him in January and will probably sell him for astronomical money next summer hopefully to us if Woodward is willing to pay what they want as you can be sure Mourinho will pay whatever it takes to get him. I feel Barkley would take to the central midfield role like a duck to water..he is a monster..6'2 in height...and has it all..defend, dribble, vision.....if he prefers to be a number 10 though in his career then he would probably choose Chelsea then

He played okay last night, nothing too special. Some of his final passes to Lukaku could have been better though.

Yeah or he should've played Mirallas through on that early chance Everton had rather than push Lukalu wider of the goal. He's been excellent for the Toffees though, learning experiences - key is to get into those positions which he does

Yep that can only come with experience and playing time. He's been fantastic and is really thriving under Martinez.

I thought he was a bit crap to be honest. Probably Everton's worst performer... his final ball really let him down on a number of occassions.

I think he will eventually be best a bit deeper than he's currently playing.

I'd be happy if we got him as long as we got someone a bit more established too alongside him. We don't need potential. We need players who will walk in our team and play week in and week out.

He seems to do a lot of needless stuff that has no effect on the game but purely to look good, rolling his foot over the ball with nobody around him for example.

He's not that good, yet. Definitely one for the future but we need the finished product too.

True. But if were to sign 2 Cms(and most on here would say we need 2) and if one was Barkley along with the finish product I would be very happy with that,

I told you all he would be, and some bloke told me that Cleverley would be better...lolzy.

Moyes blew £27.5 million on the wrong Everton player.

There's probably about 4 or 5 Everton players he could have signed that would have improved us far more than Fellaini ever will. Probably for less money too.

But he is the player we should have signed. Not Baines or Osman, but Barkley is the one we really should have tried hard to get. And to be honest, that sort of money wouldn't have bothered me that much at all, he really has a lot of potential.

He's such an intelligent runner, knows when exactly to run across someone when they're getting close to him - getting better and better at releasing the ball too.

Moyes' son works as a talent scout/agent. According to some Everton supporters he has recently signed Ross Barkley up and they believe it's a foregone conclusion that he'll sign for us soon

Looked this up and it's true. Moyes jr. works for Wasserman Media Group, who are Barkleys agents. Moyes jr looks after their North West based players, which has caused uproar in football management/agency circles.
