I hope he goes to Chelsea, but expect him to stay. No one is daft enough to pay his wage.

Because they have seen how he is not a player that has a synergy with the team. The team has to accommodate him and often times it is simply not worth it. Only Bayern makes sense and if they don't want him, maybe only PSG will take him just for a laugh of letting both him and Messi play in the same team.

We scored more the previous season.

You can blame Ole and Rangnick, but Ronaldo can't just wipe his hands clean and blame everyone but himself, like he has no part in it. Football is a team sport.

Not turning up for pre-season is laughably unprofessional and disrespectful to his new coaches and his team mates. I just hope the board can see that and not try to appease him, instead bin him off.

Thing is with Ronaldo he'll get you goals but that doesnt mean anything when the team structure collapses.

When the opposing central defenders can casually walk through your 1st line with the ball you are already in trouble in terms of the team structure and defenders these days for the top teams by and large being comfortable on the ball, our team will get simply overwhelmed in midfield because the others have to either retreat allowing teams to come on to them more and get more compact or press and get out of shape, Ralf tried both of these things to varying degrees of failure.

in my opinion goals do not make up for this issue, the only way a top team could accommodate him at the minute are reactive teams such as those managed by Conte, Simeone and Mourinho.

If you want to play on the front foot and press there is no way you can accommodate Ronaldo and make it work in my opinion, thats why i cant see the Chelsea thing being real Tuchel is from the Gegenpress school how he'll be able to do this is something i cannot see working.

Trouble with Ronaldo is yeah he'll get HIS goals, but his team contribution is lacking and absorbs opportunity from everyone else around him because they are all focused on working for him. Look at the drop off in Bruno and Rashford contributions this season.

Not to mention his attitude on the pitch stinks if he isn't getting every ball delivered to him on a silver plate. You don't really see players of City or Liverpool throwing their arms around in frustration.

I think this is why United will not want to sell to Chelsea. The smart play would be to sell to them but Glazers will be more concerned about the optics and not wanting

The PL doesn’t take any prisoners, one mistake and your a goal down, he’ll do well in the farmers league where he can just walk around sulking until he gets the ball in an attacking position. He was our best outfield player last season but that doesn’t mean much these days….

Or they'd be the only team in the current top 4 carrying a forward who can't run. If Ten Hag gets De Jong and another forward I'd give United a good chance of finishing ahead of Chelsea if this all happens.
