I love the statement about respect for the fans. Even though in that summer he was bought back he was 24 hours from shitting all over us and joining City. He only cares about himself. Get rid.

ETH on Ronaldo
"What the talk - if you ask about that - is between Cristiano and me," Ten Hag said. "The statement is also clear, I think. He remains an important player in the squad.

"I am the manager, I am responsible for the culture here and I have to set standards and values and I have to control them. In the team, we have values and standards and I have to control that.

"After Vallecano, I told him it was unacceptable but not him everyone, this is the second time, there are consequences. We miss him tomorrow. It's a miss for the squad but it's important for the attitude and mentality of the group and now we have to focus on Chelsea as that is important."

Why has he been dropped and told to train alone
"It will have a (time for) reflection for him, but also for everyone else, I said at the start of the season, next time there have to be consequences otherwise when you are living together and playing together, football is a team sport and you have to fulfil certain standards. And I have to control it.

There is zero correlation between being a good player and not talking a load of shit. Look at the likes of Le Tissier or Evra!
Exactly. I'd even say the better the player you were more crap you say as a pundit.

EtH has handled this perfectly. Sets a massive precedent moving forward.

No one in the squad has special privileges and no one is bigger then the club. It's of course a no brainer, but that attitude slipped post Fergie.

It's funny how EtH is doing exactly what Fergie would have done in this situation , but I doubt anyone would have dared to raise a voice back then.

And that's what is all about and why its important to have him leave as soon as possible. ETH needs to answer a 100 questions about Ronaldo. I hope he'll give an update or 2 about the game. Madness.

Beyond what he did, if Ronaldo understands his place currently and in the future then I'm 100% sure that he can contribute positively. It's a shame that he needs to be managed as much as it has been the case.

Things are certainly being blown out of proportions. Ronaldo only walked down the tunnel into the dressing room and stuff.

Players do that all the time to get something. It's not like he left the stadium. Giving him a huge fine and being axed from squad for an important game is certainly an over reaction from the club.
Come of it.

He left the stadium. Even if he just left for the dressing room its really bad behaviour. Refusing to come in and then leaving the stadium way worse and hugely unprofessional.

What should the club do. Say - oh no no, you've been naughty.

And no, players in fact dont do that all the time.

Ffs cant believe you have to explain this to people still.

I'm loving the new boss.
Me too.

I remember a story someone linked a few months back about a young Ajax player (Noa Lang) who’d scored a hattrick on his debut. ETH shoutEd instructions as the player went past and the lad backchatted. Sent on loan a month later.

Also that player who was late twice in our pre season (rumoured to be Garnacho) and left out completely. Said to a mate at the time “I like him already”.

A paper said his five rules are…
  1. dropped if late for training or team meetings
  2. no drink alcohol in gameweeks
  3. eat what is prepared by the club (personal chefs are banned)
  4. BMI to be checked monthly
  5. should complain to Ten Hag rather than agents
Note that Shaw looks slimmer/sharper.

I'm loving the new boss.
It's really difficult not to. By and large, he seems to be getting everything right. Not just man management and standards but also he seems pretty astute tactically. My hopes and expectations increase almost by the match. Not in a stupid way but just my levels of optimism that the managerial seat is finally occupied by someone with a clear enough plan and methodology who carries enough 'inner force' about him that he'll be able to implement it at this level. Good stuff.

It’s not.

Ronaldo is one of the greatest players of all time and most United fans love him but he knew exactly what he was doing.. making it about him meaning dick heads like Piers Morgan come out and give us stick.

Ten Hag is saying clearly “my way or don’t play. From a youth player to a top 3 in the world… no difference”. Perfect management as everyone knows where they are and they’ll all be treated equally.

It's obviously been drafted by the pr company as posted above. Hilarious that some fecking suits have huddled into an office and drafted it. Clearly made a point to not actually say sorry, which would be an admission of guilt and of doing something wrong.

Was the same with his homecoming post also. They knew referencing Sir Alex would be a success. Also every post is from his PR company. I mean, I doubt Ronaldo would write 'go Red Devils' after every match.

Yeah, it's been far too long.

This sort of behaviour isn't acceptable under the current regime and I'm loving it. The players are finally realising they don't run the club any more. No more taking the piss.

Rashford was downtooling for a year, last year. I think it's way more offensive than leaving with minutes to go in one game, don't you think so?

Has Rashford ever apologized to fans? or do you think that's more acceptable?

He was having a bad season, he wasn't "downtooling". If that's the case, the entire team 'downtooled'. I don't recall anyone refusing to come on? The only person who went AWOL last season was... oh yeah, Ronaldo because he didn't get picked. You're talking rot mate and I can't believe you don't know it. Wash your brain out and try again.

Yes there are none as blind as cant see. Its obvious he doesnt want to be here. he isnt a team player. he even threw strops at Madrid and there was talk he wanted to leave as early as 2013. Hes walked off twice this season and needs punishing and fecking off in January.

When was the last time club issue a statement like this? There must be something going on otherwise they would rather resolve it behind close door.
And we have posters here think they know more than everyone. "Stop being dramatic". Tell that to our spokesperson

Exactly this. How the feck is it comparable to someone who is out of form and having a bad season which was the whole team last season.

This is the real issue. He doesn't seem to either understand or accept his role.

Erik throwing his Dutch length around really is warming the cockles.

Doesn’t take any shit. Deals with incidents swiftly and succinctly. Demands respect. It’s just lovely stuff.

Textbook handling of the situation by ETH.
Yep, absolutely perfectly handled. The boys now know for sure he is the boss.

Step out of line and you get dealt with. This could end up being a blessing in diguise. hehe

Just like when Pogba left it will be a beautiful day when he leaves. Shame it has come to this but he has only himself to blame.

I dont get what is being blown out of proportion? Do you have any clue whats going on?

1. He didn't turn up to Pre season
2. He then posted that he is ready to start - its the managers job that.
3. After Vallecano game he left the stadium - got warned
4. He has been petulant all season
5. He didnt want to come on, left the stadium before the game finished.

Are you serious ? It is how you discipline someone.

Agreed, just a shame we managed to get rid of one circus and then end up with another...

Everyone saw this coming when Ronaldo wasn’t sold. He has the attitude of 12 year old spoiled child. Sad that the club still straddled ETH with him.
I doubt any Utd fan reckons ETH is in the wrong (except the Ronaldo fanboys but they aren’t really Utd fans).
Hope this is the end of it and we don’t hear about Ronaldo in the news till January when the cnut is sold.

Yeah, crap situation for sure. But it will be soon cleared and hopefully its a sign we're not gonna coclude business like that.
