Surely you cannot be referring to Keano at Forest??

Like I suggested last night, had Nkunku been fit we would’ve lined up with 4 attackers and 2 midfielders. With him now out long term I guess the plan is to play with a front 3 and then 3 midfielders. That’s the only way us signing 2 more midfielders makes sense.Ah that must be the reason you need 2 midfielders.
Even in that instance you'd still be short of a starting midfielder and maybe a rotation midfielder. And in my opinion, a goalscorer as well.Like I suggested last night, had Nkunku been fit we would’ve lined up with 4 attackers and 2 midfielders. But haven’t you banked over 50m for the 2 of them? Should be pretty straightforward to drop that money on Lavia.I think we were expecting to go into the season with both Fabinho and Henderson in the squad. Neither were expected departures and its left the club scrambling around for a replacement DM, whilst making sure not to break FSG’s budget.
We’ll be left behind in this league if we don’t start investing properly. We should be backing Klopp whilst we have him.
Since we won the league we’ve signed two CB’s (Konate and that young kid who never played for us). City on the other hand have spent over 200 million iirc on that position and continued to refresh the squad.
Colwill as well, hasn't been a good transfer window for them.its getting funny that the Scousers seem to be missing the mark on signings, first Mount turned them down, they lost out on Bellingham despite the cringefest with Henderson, Amrabat has turned them down and now Lavia could get messed up too. The meltdown will be delicious.

ETH got the players he wanted. We dropped everything to get Mount. He was Imo the no1 midfield target. As soon as became known he was available we were straight in same as for GK and striker. Kane was never available to us so we didn’t waste time. The priority positions have been filled. Next depends on outs. This FFP line was nonsense though ETH is managing squad and especially wages brilliantly. With the expected outgoings we could see another 2-3 incomings. we will be a far stronger team than last season for sure. If Qatar deal completed by November Jan window could be silly though ETH will manage it well Imo no stupid Neymar like deals. Varane and Casimero written off by far to many on here it’s crazy. We can enjoy them in red for at least another 3 seasons.Reckon we would have matched their bid had we been able to sell McTominay earlier
Solid postNot hard is it? 5 multiplied by 10, plus 1, Romeo done.
So solidSolid post
They should get the deal done in 21 secondsSo solid
So then their gross spend should be more than yours thenThey've earned more in transfers in the last five years from what I can tell.
What would people here prefer - Caicedo for £100 million or Lavia for £50 million ?
But when you look at our spending we do seem to be underspending compared to our rivals somewhat. The tragedy of this league is that a club that is not only cheating, but doing so backed by infinite money, is setting an artificial bar, which everyone else is measuring themselves by and trying to meet or even overcome.
You're putting it on your owners that they aren't conjuring similar funds to compete, but you must know it's wholly unrealistic and anyone finishing ahead of City would do so via a perfect storm, unless state-backed themselves?

What’s Liverpool’s plan here anyway? Tell Lavia to sit tight and wait while they throw a Hail Mary for Caicedo?
If Thiago goes to Saudi Arabia, they might need both. What’s Liverpool’s plan here anyway? Tell Lavia to sit tight and wait while they throw a Hail Mary for Caicedo?

You’d think so.But haven’t you banked over 50m for the 2 of them? Should be pretty straightforward to drop that money on Lavia.
When does the "find out" part of the "feck around and find out" equation happen for Chelsea? Surely there's consequences to this mental spending at very high prices in many cases. Surely the point of an investment fund is that the investors will want to see a return and I just can't see what market efficiencies they are exploiting that will enable their investors to make anything but staggering losses.Chelsea are a bizarre club.
Do you not think some of the blame lies at Klopp's door? All your signings were coming up trumps before Klopp started looking for more control and the analytics guys jumped ship? Now there doesn't seem to be any structure to the recruitment. We are a joke of a club these days. Without Klopp we'd be nowhere.
The analytics guys are still there mate. None have left as yet. The problem they're having is that other clubs aren't as daft anymore when it comes to recruitment.Do you not think some of the blame lies at Klopp's door? Analytics guys might have been an overly-crude catch all term but I mean the likes of Michael Edwards, Ian Graham and Ward who presided over a lot of the successful recruitment. The analytics guys are still there mate. The guys that run the recruitment department at Liverpool are still there. Barry Hunter and Dave Fallows are the chief scout and head of recruitment at the club and it's their recruitment decisions that the data science team have been assisting with. Ian Graham will leave at the end of the current transfer window, he hasn't left yet. And Ward was the loans manager for a while before being trained up to succeed Edwards as the DoF.Analytics guys might have been an overly-crude catch all term but I mean the likes of Michael Edwards, Ian Graham and Ward who presided over a lot of the successful recruitment.
Nah, prefer amrabat all day long personally.Could easily meet asking price for him if we managed to sell McTominay

Neither of those two, lavia or tchouameni are a DLP, passing machine like amrabat. I think amrabat will be done once DVB and Fred depart.Amrabat don’t do it for me. Seems like a steady Eddy no star quality.
Give me this kid or a Tchouameni any day.
Reminds me of when we signed Schneiderlin.
