Romeo Lavia | Chelsea bound?

Is he thought. Like is he?

Nobody watches him and most of us are going off a good World Cup where no one can recommend any other player except Hakimi who is worth any salt in world football.

So as far as I’m concerned this is just another Redcafe Twitter hyper.

He was far better than £105m Rice when it mattered in the UEFA final. Only saw him then when I took note of him and the WC where again he was superb. Seems to be loads of Southampton and Brighton supports on here who watch all thier games. Amrabat seems like excellent biz and more importantly seems to be the player ETH wants.

I hope Southampton have upped their asking price for Lavia to £80m once Liverpool come crawling back. Also, Lavia now knows he’s only sloppy seconds, would be hilarious if he snubbed them as well.

Exactly how I see it. You’ve got to grab a Lavia or Tchouameni when Liverpool or signing the Caicedo’s of this world. Amrabat don’t do it. Sorry.
Is Tchouameni a realistic proposition? Can't imagine he'd be much cheaper than Rice/Caicedo or have I missed something? I like Amrabat's profile but would prefer someone at a higher level. If Tchouameni is available at a cut price, you'd just go for it because his ceiling is so much higher but I'd imagine he's just out of reach financially.

I'm sure this lad will be delighted that Liverpool have tried to penny pinch all summer then agree to pay more than double for Caicedo. Will really feel wanted if they come back in.

No he wasn’t. They just had a different game plan which meant he seen a lot more of the ball. They still ended up losing and their defence was exposed twice.

True, I had a feeling we might regret not taking West Ham's offer and the way things have gone since then are just confirming these suspicions. I'd say we need a CB, DM and another forward because it's the lack of goals that will most likely hurt us.

Yep need all of that done before Sept 1

We could have tried for Tchouameni if we had been sensible and took West Ham's offer for the remaining half of McFred

It feels nice to see Liverpool for once being the butt of the joke in the transfermarket. Woodward for a long time looked like a drunk guy at 5 in the morning trying to pull, while landing on his arse.

Now it's finally someone else's turn to be that guy everyone can see has money and is drunk.

I hope Southampton absolutely rinses them, they now know Pool have 110m.

I don't think Lavia is the best fit to single-handedly carry a midfield as top heavy as Liverpool's, with TAA also needing constant cover whenever he goes on walkabout.

He's a good player, but you can see how Caicedo would have been a much more apt.

It'll square pegs in round holes if Lavia is their main DM signing.

:lol::lol::lol: It really is going to be something like that, Southampton must be rubbing their hands together imagining what lump of that 111M that they want for Lavia now. Imagine the fun if Lavia got ticked off with Liverpool's antics and signed for Brighton with Chelsea's transfer cash.

In fairness Liverpool's transfer folks have not done much wrong since Paul Konchesky, but what a way to end that run with a failed/snubbed record panic bid

Yeah that would be funny

Nunez, Keita, Benteke, Markovic that I can think of off the top of my head. They have had some shockers.

*yes we have too, but despite our more recent reputation for comedy transfers Liverpool also had a reputation, and probably for longer.

Boehly pulling a madness this week, jeez

They still need another striker but wow at that midfield refresh overnight, I'm jealous.

At this point they’re rounding them up just so nobody else can have them. Hostage signings.
