I think he'll go for somewhere around 70m or so. For all the talk about selling him for 100m, Everton do risk of losing him for nothing and I know they're rich right now but no club can would take a hit like that.

After the Griezmann disappointment, I really hope we can bag Lukaku.

If Costa is staying at Chelsea, surely they won't go for Lukaku too?

Not sure who else he can go to, in the Premier League anyway.

just over one season left on the contract and is refusing to sign. He goes for 75-80 mill in this window IMO
I don't think us or Chelsea will pay that much for him if we can have Morata and them Costa.

Are they actually rich though? Their forum suggests they are going to sell to buy again, like they did with Stones cash last season.

then the price will come down. Just over one season and has refused to sign.

Everton are probably losing their shit over this. He can walk after next season and they get 0. Lukaku and Raiola have everton over a barrel.

This might sound weird but i dont want Lukaku..

But if Chelsea sign him i'd be like 'feck, he'll do really well for them'

We're not going to sign two strikers (nor play two strikers) so it's irrelevant really.

You reckon we would do that?

Would we buy them both? I don't know. What I do know is that we were too Ibra dependent last season and we simply cant risk being caught with our pants down the second time round. Also Morata can play as the main striker or as no 10/flanks.

PS even Montella agree that Morata can play alongside a main striker. Ok he's not SAF or Mourinho but he certainly got more knowledge that the average man on the street

Yeah, possible. Arsene for instance lives for deals like this.

How? His contract expires in 2019. Even next season they could still wrangle a decent fee for him.

Euro or pounds?

If he has clearly indicated he wants to go then why will everton keep him. His mind wont be the same at the club. The only question is price and the number of buyers that will pay the price or get into a bid war.

Except for United or Chelsea dont see any suitors.

He will want to join Chelsea, that much is obvious. Reading the transcript seems like maybe Raiola wants him to join Utd as he'd make more from agent fees, whereas Rom wants to join Chelsea

2017/2018 season ends 13th may 2018 with the following season starting August 2018.

Why would any team spend huge money on a player with under one year on his contract?

Is there anywhere an actual record of him saying he'd prefer Chelsea then us? Or is it just usual journo mumbo-jumbo.

I mean I know he said it in the past that he's Chelsea and Drogba fan but I mean has he said anything regarding his transfer this summer?

Hah, my thoughts are similar.

I've already grown fond of the idea of signing Morata, and don't like changing my mind...so I hope this movement points to Chelsea.

The only problem with us now being in the Champions League is that player comments regarding wanting to play in that competition are no longer effective clues as to their likely destination :(

Huge money, probably not. But they'd still get something respectable for him. Raiola managed to get £26m for Mkhitaryan in the final year of his contract. I can see him getting a wee bit more for Lukaku on a hypothetical in a years time.

I don't think this is going to happen, mind. I think he's gone this summer. Just saying Everton do have the choice to hold him for another year - what they miss out on in fees will probably compensate for another 20+ goals Lukaku season.

His contract expires in 2019 btw. I'm not sure if you know that, post is a little unclear.

Kinda poetic really. Lukaku was sold because of Costa, now Costa will be moved on because of Lukaku.

Costa goes back to Atleti in january is what i think. He was close to going before the ban as per some reports.

What about Lacazette then? He too said waiting out for 6 months in order to join Atletico in January is not a problem.

There is nothing in the transcript, he just says he know what will happen. Nothing about what his agent wants or player wants. He just said he will decide where he wants to go, not his agent. That's true for all players.

Btw, Chelsea pay good agent fee too. They paid 8 million for Hazard's agent back in 2012 when agents used to make 1 or 2 million.

i dont think anyone pays 100m to sign him anyway.

If Lukaku goes to Chelsea he'll bang 30 goals in next season and people here will be asking why we didn't sign him.

The ones calling him average and a "donkey" in this forum, will be the first to blame jose and woodward for not signing him. Fifa 17 has killed rational discussion on transfers

Back on topic, where does costa go? That wildcard is the only thing making me think we have a chance.

The reason that could happen is due to Chelsea's superior quality to create chances for him in and around the box. We lack quality wingers.

It's not about about their superior wingers, it's about the way they attack. They use wingbacks alongside their wingers to swarm the opponents.

I agree on that regard too. We lack any sort of fluidity or understanding to open up spaces on a regular basis during a match.

That I agree with. He is very valuable for Everton to lose him for say just 50 Million but for buying club he might not worth 80-100 million.

I seriously think we should consider buying if only to stop our rivals doing so. His league goals contribution alone will be enough to deliver the league at any club in the top 4.

We certainly could do with signing 2 strikers and a wide right forward/winger to my mind. Doubt we'll be keeping Ibra, and Rooney will be on his way too. I wouldn't have thought we'd sign 2 such high profile, similar, strikers in one summer though. Maybe we'll sign one and then wait until Xmas for Griezmann...
