That isn't his Snapchat name. All his social medias are "10" in it, not "9"

There's a brilliant thread on Redddit, R.Lukaku compared with other 3 Pl strikers as well as Morata & Belotti.

Interesting. Also interesting that there are no replies to your post whatsoever, not even a single one. Posters here instead want to discuss Lukaku's fecking transfer fee and other utter nonsense, and it doesn't stop.

Thanks for sharing something actually insightful and relevant. It pretty much sums up Lukaku. He scores goals. For some reason, people think that we'll be creating as many chances as last season and he'll just be banging them in. That a striker is the last piece of the puzzle. It's not, if that striker is Lukaku.

We're still far off from challenging for the league title or posing a serious threat in CL. And we're not closing that gap with Lukaku, as I don't think he'll improve our game (or his own) significantly from here on. What you see is what you get.

Seeing how Mourinho lacks tactical prowess in attack and instead just relying on certain individual quality to get the job done, I don't understand the notion that we've advanced come next season. Perhaps that'll change with a few more signings, but don't get too disappointed if you don't like what you see when we've played, say… 20 matches or so (all competitions).

Yes, there were matches we dominated and created tons of chances in, with only the goals missing. But it's misleading to think that it was consistent throughout the season. We had too many matches where we looked completely clueless going forward. That's down to tactics as we'll play the outdated Mourinho way, and unless we sign a Messi or Ronaldo, I don't see that changing, regardless of who comes in.

The obsession football fans have with their club's finances is weird as feck.

Very. It's borderline pathetic.

I don't think it's actually do with the club's finances, but instead it's to do with other fans and social media. I'd imagine the vast majority of people complaining over the price are doing so because of perceived mockery from rival fans for overpaying.

There is truth to this, but it's still so meaningless. Mock and reply is a general social media thing though, not specific to football.

It's not worth worrying about. If you were a millionaire would you care if some bitter jealous people mocked you for buying an overpriced luxury yacht?

But but I have to defendz my club'z financez on da internetz. Or something.

In my opinion the only players that would improve us after losing Zlatan are Suarez, Lewandowski and Kane. These three players that are a class above yet somewhat unattainable, not that we would want Suarez anyway, obviously.

Time is a great healer...

Unless we sign a Fabinho type player to help Pogba or an improved creative player that will provide more assists and movement we should just expect the same football we had last season.

We need both. DM and an AM/LW/RW.

I've just considered the possibility we'll announce the tour squad with Lukaku in it before we've actually announced his completed signing

Get on with it lads

We buy players from Everton and their fans boo them. Everton get player for free from us and we give them a lot of respect.

We have the best fans in the country, by far.

Do we know when the tour squad will be announced?

Meanwhile, over at Everton fan forum Grand Old Team:

Let's show him (Lukaku) this season how bigger club is Everton by finishing above united...i think it is possible as we're not miles away from them...

Yeah they're on his Instagram. Finished his medical 10 hours ago. Also the photo signing Pilib De Brun's kids jersey with the caption "First Man United fan I've met #blessed #thankgod"

What relationship does de bruin have with the club?

tbf they weren't far away. It's more laughable that we say we will challenge this season going off points tallies isn't it?

His tweets are there. Not sure what he's trying to argue. Piece reflects his doubts fine and accurately.
The Sun says he's not happy with the deal, where in those tweets does he say that?

8 point gap and we've just bought their top goal scorer who they relied heavily upon - they are clutching at straws.

They hate him now, but they seem to hate every player that leaves them so no surprise.
That's because Everton fans lack class so far they have had Darren Gibson, Tom Cleverly, Morgan Schniderlin and sort of Michael Keane from us yet we don't hate or boo any of them.

We've had Rooney, Fellaini and now Lukaku off if them and they hate, boo, jeer and even make up chants about them.... Like I said, they lack class.

If someone had given you Gibson and Cleverly you would be a bit disgruntled as well.

Kanchelskis, Howard, P Neville..

We actually have a pretty good relationship with Everton when it comes to transfers.

An 8 point gap after we sacrificed the last part of the season focusing on winning the Europa league. It's a fair distance I think

Forgot about them but that further proves my point the club's do seem to have a good understanding, fans are just morons.

Romelu Lukaku claims he is joining “the biggest club in the world” after undergoing his medical ahead of his move to Manchester United.

“It’s the biggest club in the world and a club that wants to win the league again and be dominant in the world again,” the Belgian told ESPN.

“I’ve always wanted the opportunity since a child, when they came calling I didn’t have to think twice. I’m really delighted to hopefully be a part of their history.

“Who would say no to the biggest club in the world, the best stadium in England, the best fans? It’s a perfect opportunity.

“I’ve always said I want to play for a team that is challenging for every trophy that there is,” he added.

“I think Manchester United want to be that dominant force. If you look at the history it says enough.

“To become part of a club like them is something I really wanted and I am thankful for the opportunity they gave me.

“Now it’s time to work hard, harder than I did before, and I am willing to do it. Hopefully it will come a good way.”
That's what I want to hear!

He's thawed my resistance to his signing by 20%. Good start.

I think it's just the perceived step up/step down in career. You don't begrudge a player not good enough or too old moving on to play at Everton and finish below us in the league, if someone were to leave for say Bayern or Real and say it was a step-up in their career and moving to a bigger club that would annoy fans.

When did people start playing down the transfer fee?

I'd have thought coming out on top at the financial dick wagging competition would make people happy.

Yeah we spent 150m for Lukaka.. and 70m for Lindelof.. and gave players away for free.. and we still remain profitable. How fecking amazing is that.

You mean like Ronaldo?

Expecting Lukaku to be announced within the hour.
United wouldn't want the transfer to overshadow Rooney's move so it's the classy thing to do
