Says chelsea sweating on to find out if the deal is already agreed, have offered same deal as united, Raiola makes 10 m from united deal and less from chelsea. Decision in players hand. United still confident.

Sounds like bulshit why haggle for 5-7 or even 10 million(Assuming raiola is paid nothing by chelsea) for your top striker target who you will lose to your old manager and to a rival club? And who has been wanted by your manager for 6 months while he asked your current striker to feck off on text?

Also unless Chelsea offer more than us, why would Everton accept? Our deal effectively includes a free Wayne Rooney. All jokes aside about Rooney being shit, it's a signing which will bring them so much revenue and Worldwide attention. If they accept Chelsea's offer, United could decide to just keep Rooney.

No need to get so upset about the picture that's being portrayed. Sounds like a reverse of Hazard.

This potential transfer has been a unique muppet experience. Much like the modern instant gratification social media age. its been short and conducted at lightning speed.
We are in the deep fog of mupperty now. Personal positions have been posted and hopes and emotions have been invested.
And then the last minute curve ball from Chelsea.
The problem is we have been here before - I participated all summer in the pursuit of Hazard, and was 100% convinced he was ours. And so when he announced himself he'd chosen Chelsea blue, it was me left feeling the muppet blues.
This one could still go the same way.

This one would be much worse, as this one had been broken by all press at the same time with absolute certainty, whereas Hazard was pissing about with hints, and even when he said "Manchester" was his destination, there were still 2 teams in it.

Things in our favour:

-First to get the offer in and accepted; shows we mean business
-Worked with Jose before
-On holiday with Pogba
-Raiola
-Location;wouldn't have to move from where he is now

Not sure what is in Chelsea's favour.

Ummmm Jose didn't have faith in him when he was younger? Surely that's a negative?

Things in our favour:

-First to get the offer in and accepted; shows we mean business - Means nothing as Chelsea have matched our bid within 24 hours.
-Worked with Jose before - Jose bombed him out before, could work against us.
-On holiday with Pogba - Griezmann was supposed to be his best mate, that didn't help.
-Raiola - He can't force him to sign where he doesn't want.
-Location;wouldn't have to move from where he is now - He could actually prefer living in the capital

Not sure what is in Chelsea's favour.

chelsea are just crying and trying to make the agent look even more greedy (which he is)

We pretty much all but officially have Lukaku.

Here's Mata talking about Lukaku as a United player: http://www.marca.com/en/football/international-football/2017/07/07/595fad7046163fc7678b45b5.html

"We played together for Chelsea and [Lukaku] has had a lot of good seasons at Everton," the United man explained.

"He knows the coach well, and scores a lot of goals which we hope he will carry on so we can try to win the league."

...Mata/article also talks about how Mourinho is already thinking ahead of how to beat Real Madrid down the road should they meet. What I sense from this is Mata and I'm guessing other team players know within that Lukaku is all but done and just a matter of ironing out the final details and awaiting the official announcement. Just look at what agent Pogba is doing lol, would be an absolute shocker if this doesn't end up happening considering what's taken place as of late. I wouldn't worry at all about the Chelsea thingy; if anything it's just a last desperation move/act on their end to make it look as if they were in it when all along they weren't willing and hesitant to pay the price until United swooped in and stole him. A last act so they can say at least they attempted to get Lukaku sort of thing.

(Really hate to be that guy but just generally requesting if any users could like my post(s). Been a long time follower who recently joined the forum and trying to get out of the Newbie zone so I can post in soon to be match day forums, not have daily post limits, and that sort of stuff. Would be much appreciated, cheers!:))

Oh dear, this guy is generally wrong, and even he is at "think" level, rather than the certainties from all a few days ago.

No-one really knows.
Oh to be a fly on the wall between Pogba and Lukaku on holiday now!

I hope they're chuckling about it and we've actually signed it all up!

They must have had some encouragement to bid though especially this late. If they knew he was on the verge of a United move like all the press have reported surely they wouldn't bother bidding. Seems fishy to me this, trying to force Chelsea's hand i wonder.

Chelsea would be to Lukaku as Man Utd are to Pogba.

Where have you been?

If somehow Lukaku ends up at Chelsea I can guarantee some genius on here or on Twitter will blame Pogba because of the AG move falling through too. Maybe he is a Gary Neville and puts players off joining us. Wait and see.
I take it that's gone through your head as well? To be honest that's the last thing I would think haha.

So basically we are now waiting to find out what type of man Lukaku is.

Is he the mercenary type who is going to join the manager who has already fecked him off so his agent can leach more money out of him or is he a man of his word and is going to choose the reigning champions and club he grew up supporting and the one he has been desperate to succeed at for years.

I'm still fairly confident we'll end up signing Lukaku, unless of course he prefers London. I know Chelsea are the current Premier League Champions but Lukaku would have grown up in an era when United were winning title after title under Fergie. We should be the more attractive option but that is my opinion of course!
I mean, that's true, but he's only 24 and being a Chelsea fan he's seen us win many titles as well. Not like he's choosing between United and Spurs who haven't won a thing in ages.

He's made up his mind to join United. That is obvious.

So obvious that Chelsea have just chucked a pointless massive bid in late on without contacting him to see if it's worth it?
Only United in 2013 do stuff like that

- Greater, more prestigious, famous, rich, successful, supported football club not built off a Russian billionaire.

Boyhood club
Unfinished business
Prem champions
Great coach

Chelsea are clearly committed too - they are happy to match the bid. They were just busy trying to tie up full backs at the same time. I don't think Lukaku will think adversely towards that, especially given they're a club he supports and has fond memories of.

He can go back, or he can return to the manager that sold him off showing little faith. It's an obvious choice if it were solely down to him. Raiola may well turn him red though.

Disagree. Chelsea haven't made him a priority and he will be bothered by that. They have presumed he'd just come to them and they'd have a free run.

It's all about feeling loved.

Joining the biggest club in the country = mercenary  I've heard it all now.

Everton won't even accept the offer, not a chance so he won't even have that choice to make.

Ummmm Jose didn't have faith in him when he was younger? Surely that's a negative?
Wrong as lukalu said in an interview, it was he who decided to leave and jose was first one to wish him well. They are on great terms.

HAZARD saga? Remember?
Remember what??? We were in for him ,then Chelsea won European cup. NEXT day he was on Twitter saying he was signing for champions of Europe . Later came out that fergie didn't wanted to pay agent fees!! Is that why everyone is so confident.. if Chelsea paid fees once they'll do it again. Chelsea seem to always get the deals done. Robben hazard William. I just wouldn't be too confident that We get him. Hope so but id be worried we don't and then we are going to find it tough to get Morata or anyone else that's good enough done.

Why would an agent fee matter to Lukaku?
Why are you here, hellbent on trying to convince us all Lukaku wants to join Chelsea?

No-one knows what is actually going on. But what I do find strange is why a 'Spurs fan' has appeared since this news and is obsessively telling us all how much Lukaku wants to move to Chelsea over Utd.

Give it a rest - you don't know anything.

Got the call to do an announcement video or is he watching Love Island?

If we get him, and Mourinho points to united badge again in the pics it would be pretty hillarious.

London, boyhood club, great wages just like United would offer, current PL champions, good mates with fellow Belgians Hazard and Courtois, plus other French speaking players like Kante, Zouma, and soon Bakayoko. The whole "unfinished business factor.

Plenty of reasons he'd come here.

Like others in here are saying, though, I think it's a done deal for you guys. No way would your club brief the world if it wasn't a certainty.
