I ain't worried about some Chelsea bid. Agent Pogba is on the case.

That story that Sky are running about the agent is just simply baffling. If Everton accept both bids why on earth would Lukaku give a feck about the agent fees? He'd be free to choose himself and his agent is rich enough. I cannot believe they are running that. Surely Chelsea haven't briefed that in desperation?

This is all crazy as feck. The fact our player is on holiday with him now as well

When did our fanbase become so insecure?

Says chelsea sweating on to find out if the deal is already agreed, have offered same deal as united, Raiola makes 10 m from united deal and less from chelsea. Decision in players hand. United still confident.

Sounds like bulshit why haggle for 5-7 or even 10 million(Assuming raiola is paid nothing by chelsea) for your top striker target who you will lose to your old manager and to a rival club? And who has been wanted by your manager for 6 months while he asked your current striker to feck off on text?

Yep. Funny how them of all folks are bringing up agents fees.

Chelsea and their fans memories clearly don't go further back than 30 seconds given they've seemingly forgotten how they signed Robben, Mikel and Hazard

United fans need a mentality change. No wonder we don't score many late winners anymore, insecurity has sunk into the club from the stands.

I'm quite clearly not wumming, every indication I've seen all summer and particularly tonight is that he wants to play for Chelsea over us but the money being offered to Raiola might sway it our way.
Is that why he has been spending his summer with Pogba and taking pictures of himself along with some friends dressed in MUFC kits?

haha if you've ever seen an actual picture of Lukaku you'd know he's about twice as wide as that

This potential transfer has been a unique muppet experience. Much like the modern instant gratification social media age. its been short and conducted at lightning speed.
We are in the deep fog of mupperty now. Personal positions have been posted and hopes and emotions have been invested.
And then the last minute curve ball from Chelsea.
The problem is we have been here before - I participated all summer in the pursuit of Hazard, and was 100% convinced he was ours. And so when he announced himself he'd chosen Chelsea blue, it was me left feeling the muppet blues.
This one could still go the same way.

I wouldn't like to be in Woody's shoes when he meets up with Jose if this goes tits up and we go on tour with only Lindelof signed.

Sounds more and more like Chelsea know the deal with us is done and there will be a lot of embarrassment if they don't make it look like they did everything they could.

People talking about no problem in him not joining us. We can't just lose him after all that.

We ended our interest in Morata and hijacked the deal for Chelsea. If he ended at Chelsea we'll look embarrassing, returning to Madrid again to pay +90m for Morata to get him with both clubs laughing at us.

Ed will look embarrassing in every possible aspect if this happens. He can't lose this deal for his face at least.

Morata may not want to join us either.

I think Pogba will help us with this one.

However, if we do lose out, or indeed Chelsea do, then poor Morata will feel like a second choice Sandra won't he.

either theyve matched it to save face. or theyve matched it after being given encouragement from lukaku camp. both very plausible

It's very hard to believe it's the former, as they'd risk looking like absolute mugs.

You don't bid 2nd highest fee in history money just as some sort of face saver...well, unless you're us in 2013 :)

Yeah almost sounds like a ready made excuse. Bid the same amount but don't give the agent any money.

That way when lukaku joins us they can say "oh we Matched the bid but he chose to please his agent bla bla"

That way they don't look like they've been rejected and it's all the agents fault. Very shrewd.

Nah whoever gets Lukaku is getting a PL proven player who won't need any bedding in time. I'll be fecking gutted if you's get him, for me, he's an upgrade on Costa and will immensely improve you's.

I desperately want this one to go through for us.

We would look like fools who ended morata pursuit through the media. So I would be gutted too if this turns into another hazard saga.

I'm still fairly confident we'll end up signing Lukaku, unless of course he prefers London. I know Chelsea are the current Premier League Champions but Lukaku would have grown up in an era when United were winning title after title under Fergie. We should be the more attractive option but that is my opinion of course!

Why would an agent fee matter to Lukaku?

Things in our favour:

-First to get the offer in and accepted; shows we mean business
-Worked with Jose before
-On holiday with Pogba
-Raiola
-Location;wouldn't have to move from where he is now

Not sure what is in Chelsea's favour.
