Whatever happens it's a nice retort by Chelsea, begs the question why they didn't just offer this money last week though, I really hope we aren't been used here, becasue that would be a brutal thing to do by Raiola, but I'm sure he's capable.

I agree. I think they thought they were going to get the whole summer unopposed to try and drive the price down. The we swooped in and they are thinking "shit". This reeks desperation.
Would be gutted if Chelsea were to pull this off. Not that Lukaku was my dream signing necessarily but it give evidence to the argument that we've lost a bit of appeal in the market.
