Chelsea are still so incredibly small time pulling a stunt like this, butthurt much Roman?

Karma hurts don't it bitch!! :p

I'm very, very confident that he'll sign for us.

just sit back and watch it unfold. think it'll be done sharpish either way

To be honest, I'm not bothere whatever happens.

If Lukaku goes to United he'll be very good and score a bunch of goals. We'll go out and get Morata or Belotti who will also be very good and score a bunch of goals.

No real loser here. Both teams will signa super expensive forward.
My thoughts exactly. Couldn't care less what happens. I don't think Lukaku will end up at Chelsea but even if he does, he's no Hazard that I'd be losing sleep over him going there.

Because it shows the player who is committed to signing them.

Chelsea have been skimping on the fee and faffing around. No way to show a player that you value them and want them at the club.

He'll pick United.

Chelsea are clearly committed too - they are happy to match the bid. They were just busy trying to tie up full backs at the same time. I don't think Lukaku will think adversely towards that, especially given they're a club he supports and has fond memories of.

He can go back, or he can return to the manager that sold him off showing little faith. It's an obvious choice if it were solely down to him. Raiola may well turn him red though.

So can we safely say Chelsea payed More Fee's to hazard and pedro's agents?

Was Raiola just looking to push Chelsea into action all along? Playing Woody like a fiddle?

You'd lot to think after making him a flilthy rich bastard last summer with the Ibra, Mhki and Pogba deals that he wouldn't do something like that but this is football so anything is possible!

Would be a very weird move if true, as we've lined his pockets this last year. On top of that, Chelsea reportedly won't pay him the agent fees we will. So unless he's suddenly become very selfless, I strongly doubt that.

We just never seem to do easy transfers. If we miss out on him the search for a forward will be interesting to say the least as we have no chance with morata now

Completely agree. It's insane how often teams like Chelsea and sometimes City try to pull little tricks. Speaks to their inferiority complex.

Looks like Chelsea are just trying to save face. They will no doubt blame their feck up on Fat Mino and act like they are the injured party.

We need goals, Lukaku is a goal machine, who is premier league proven. The other two, on the other hand, are big risks to take.

This is 'journalism' at it's finest. They're no better than the ITK's on Twitter who tweet every outcome and then delete the wrong ones when a deal actually happens, bar the paycheque and bizarre credibility.

either theyve matched it to save face. or theyve matched it after being given encouragement from lukaku camp. both very plausible

People talking about no problem in him not joining us. We can't just lose him after all that.

We ended our interest in Morata and hijacked the deal for Chelsea. If he ended at Chelsea we'll look embarrassing, returning to Madrid again to pay +90m for Morata to get him with both clubs laughing at us.

Ed will look embarrassing in every possible aspect if this happens. He can't lose this deal for his face at least.

Any chance we've engaged in all this just so Chelsea up their Lukaku bid and, in exchange, Everton rid us of Rooney's wages?

Probably not, but it is the only plausible reason for them to want him.

Aye.

I don't buy this "Chelsea fan" nonsense, he's gonna be a United player for sure & will decide to join the biggest club in the country, I have zero doubts about that now I know Chelsea can't beat our wages any longer.

Yep, all the "wants Chelsea" business, was ages back, and before we proved to be interested.

....hopefully.

I hope so. Even if it is Chelsea. Can't be fecked with this dragging on.
This. Watching this turn into a long-drawn saga would aggravate the feck out of me. Hope Lukaku doesn't spend too much time lapping up the luxurious position he's in and just chooses a club.

We're going to miss out on him, I already know the how the story pans out.

Fully expect to be walking into work on Monday to the City fans waiting.
