When you look at Rashford's second goal yesterday (the 3-0) and see the lovely first touch to ring the ball down from Pogba's pass - imagine if Lukaku was on the end of that pass instead? He absolutely killed attacks last season over and over again.

Probably struggles to keep the weight off, slow metabolism that has slowed even further. He was a very early developer so perhaps he's getting the slow down most people get in their 30s.
It really shouldn't be that difficult when it clearly affects his profession, and he has or can very easily have top nutritionists telling him exactly what to eat and even making it for him. He is in a very privileged position where losing that weight is going to be as easy as it ever can be for a person, if he can't then I don't think there's anything to blame except himself and his mental state and attitude

He will still score goals if you feed him in the penalty box, other than that though...he is barely moving, on the ball he is not on the level. he can pull out a nice pass once in a while and score some good goals, but if he doesnt score regularly, which happens for a while during a season, he offers very very little. I am happy we took the 70m, because that is a great price for such a limited player. He would be stinking up the place on and off the pitch during the season if still here. The only thing is we should have used the money to invest back in the squad, to buy a midfielder or striker really.

Totally agreed, never would have scored that 3rd goal with him. Feck even the second goal, I can't see Lukaku making a run into the box like Martial did. He'd probably hang back a bit further while pointing at his feet instead.

Which is exactly why its good to have him as a squad player. Can play against a number of those teams and guarantee goals. Currently, Rashford and Martial are just not consistent in that role.

Not sure why all the hate - sure he wasn't the most technically gifted CF we had but nor was Andy Cole as an example. He did a job for us for a couple of seasons and I wish him well at Inter. Personally think he'll be in the top 3 goalscorers in Serie A whilst he is there

You simply don't keep an 80m forward to play as flat track bully. And he doesn't guarantee goals if not being served on a plate which is the case with our side recently.

But, why? He wanted to be a starter, and the very fact that he was considered a squad player at best is one of the chief reasons he wanted out.
