It's not like it's overall on the ball ability - genuinely think it's something he can improve on with training or just timing his runs better. Especially as in the box he suddenly knows what to do with his head. He's good when he's trying to score but when he's just heading to win the ball it's way different for him.
That’s not quite how it works though, he’s been playing football for the majority of his life, putting in 10s thousands of hours - this idea that he can suddenly improve his aerial ability is just not realistic.
We’d be much better off playing to his strengths, playing off the last shoulder, running in behind, letting him play with his back to goal etc.
Resorting to long balls is an indication of us not being able to build attacking play otherwise.
