Robin van Persie

Rumors on twitter that RVP has signed a new contract with Arsenal (@source_football). Hope this is true and we can turn our attention to a CM and LB.

We won't be signing a CM anyway and I don't particularly like the idea of Arsenal keeping van Persie on top of buying Cazorla, Podolski and Giroud.

Do you really think RvP signing a new contract or not with Arsenal is in anyway going to influence our search for a CM or LB? I for one sure as hell don't. I don't think we are in for a CM becasue if we were he'd be here by now, or you'd have heard something more about it...

It's a rumour which even the source doesn't believe to be true, it seems.

Football Agent on Twitter very adamant that RVP will be a United player. The account has a lot of tweets, and scrolling down the tweets you see things being mentioned that ended up happening.

Make of it what you will. One way or another, I just wish it would be sorted.

He's got slower, he lacks that pace over 5-10 yards to get away - that's why he doesn't try to beat players often.

It's not that. The change in Rooney's game was quantum, not gradual.

It can be easily seen by watching a selection of games from 05/06 and 06/07. Before April '06 at Stamford Bridge he was one type of player, and afterwards he played quite differently. The second metatarsal break impaired his long range shooting, dribbling, and close control, and he's never gotten them back. In the last few years he's lost a lot of his pace and power play as well. He's so morbidly anxious about injuries that he shirks all physical situations where someone might thread on his foot.

Is that FootballAgentITK by anychance? I so he's a proven bullshitter.

Only 20 days to go and probably another 5,000 hypothetical posts on how RVP will link in with Rooney et al.

I reckon he will stay :D

Look, Mr G, I'm having trouble acting like a muppet while you play one of Statler and Waldorf. I must protest. :D

It's fecking depressing that there are probably at least 152 other cnuts masquerading as agents on Twitter.

Depressing is 1 word for it. Desperate, pathetic, sad are just a few others.

I know you should have to show your credentials. These idiots are driving me mad.

So just ignore them. I doubt any of them are genuine. Certainly the sort that repeatedly talk about high profile transfers.

nah, he's the footballing equivalent of Ricky Hatton. Very good and on his day one of the best, but lacks the discipline in the off season to keep at his peak physical shape. That lack of burst is what's caused his dribbling to suffer.

Do you really want an unhappy player to stay for another year when you've already signed a replacement, and lose out on a potential £20m fee just to have this one over us? We're not even your rivals anymore, it'd be Liverpool, Newcastle and Spurs.

Twitter doesn't exactly satisfy my muppety needs - all I get is DMs stating 'Thanks for the follow! Check out my book/blog/site/Facebook/cat/Dad etc etc'.

I'm not on Twitter, but the rest of you keep posting their ramblings on here.:lol:

Ah, yes. Well there is a thread for it but some does still spill on here. That thread is where wr8 lives who I actually think is/was one of the bullshitters on Twitter claiming to be "ITK".

If he wants to stay and have another season without any trophies, that's up to him.

What makes you think he'll win any trophies with you lot?

A team in decline, crap midfield, trophy less last season, failed to get out of the CL group stage and how long has Fergie got left - he is 70 right?

Whereas, Arsenal are a team on the way up given our exciting new signings, an improved league position on last year will mean a big challenge for the Title this season and a healthy financial position wither property investments finally crystallising.

Let's face it, if he does somehow end up with you lot, it's because of the money. Fatuous to think you have a better chance of winning trophies than us.

Some of you lot are plain deluded.

A team on the up, fecking hell.

Of course he'll win trophies with us, we win them on a regular basis. On the other hand, Birmingham City have had a more recent trophy win than Arsenal.

I keep reading the stuff. I am too trusting of the people on here that post it you see. I believe you believe it, so I believe it as well.:lol::lol:

Pot, have you met you kettle?

Fair play, that was the Mona Lisa of the WUM world, chief. :D

It would have been a decent attempt if it hadn't been so obvious it was a wind up. He could have done much better.

Oh look, it's a troll. Well I've never seen that from you before. I've no idea why anyone puts up with this shit.

Maybe we'll start to see this type of movement this season, as we have only witnessed a decline so far from your lot. And our so called crap midfield was still good enough to turn over your up and coming team 8-2

'On the up'? The last time Arsenal had an open-top parade, it was on the back of a Stegosarus.

Everyone wins trophies when they leave your lot.

A team in decline? If I had a quid for everytime I've heard that one, I'd be retired at the age of 29.

A crap midfield? We've still won trophies with our crap midfield.

Trophyless last season? First time it's happened since 2005, which oddly enough was the last time Arsenal won a trophy.

Failed to get out of the CL group stage? Last time that happened, we won the CL two years later.

Fergie is 70 and still the best manager in the PL. He has a few more years left I'd bet.

Who says he's unhappy? He's a professional and will act accordingly.

You lot have only offered £15m. If we force him to stay we save the extra money offered to him (£7m) on our contract offer.

Do you really think the extra £8m makes any difference?

This coming season, I'd say Newcastle,Liverpool and Spurs are more likely to be your rivals as you fight for 4th place.

The reality is that because of his age and injury record, Arsenal are in a much stronger position than RVP.

Please don't feed the troll guys. That way he might just feck off.

If we exchange the words 'Arsenal' for 'United' in your posts, they seem reasonable. :D

We've not even once been in danger of falling out of top 4 and haven't finished with less than 80 points in fecking ages. You're insane if you think we'll be where you are anytime soon.

Not sure how you got the £8m figure as you're not saving anything by keeping him for a year. You're losing the £15m and paying him £4m for a year.

This lad is clearly the delusional one. You would think we won something every year.
