Oh right! Injuries were only an agenda for last season.
There were never any such thing as injuries till United got some.

There was always this 'injuries are part of game', till United got some.

Hypocrites.

Yeah, let's ignore the thread that was made during the season where someone suggested our physios might be to blame, because of the injuries we get season in, season out. The difference is we never let it impact us like you did. Until last season of course.

You don't think that an injury free United squad is superior to an injury free arsenal squad?

Anyway, hoping Sir Alex will bring us some news in the post match conferance!

When there was no leeway given to Arsenal's injury concern, i say you had feck all chance of winning the league without or with Vidic.
Luckily for you lot, we gave you a chance and you massively bottled it.

What do you mean till we got some? We've always had them

I NEVER blamed our physios, unless you are suggesting some of your United fans did.
I however made a thread about our new Medical centre.

Are GIFs allowed in the football threads now?

why are we talking about Juventus?

Milan sold players, Juventus bought players.
Juventus won the league last season unbeaten.
Juventus players made it to Euro finals.
That's Scudetto in their pocket already.

More chance of a league win with Juventus than United.

Who did you think I meant by 'our'?

The point is that we've had so many injuries throughout the years, someone looked to find out why, and looked to our physios. Whether they are to blame or not isn't the point, it's that we've had them for so long, people started to wonder if this wasn't just an unlucky coincidence.

No. He's going to get an infraction for that.

Also Trionz stop acting like a twat in every thread you set foot it.

We have a deeper and better players than Arsenal and I for one am not going to make excuses for us not winning the title last season.

But I would be gutted if I were a gooner and know the best Arsenal were going to do this season is finish third.

We shall see about that.

City have twice more chance of winning any trophy.
you lot are deluded if you think you have more chance of a trophy, compared to Juventus(who just won the league unbeaten) and City.

United have more chance of winning one than arsenal. To think that wouldn't play a part in any move is dumb.

nonsense. City will be favourites for obvious reasons. But we are the only club that can beat them to the title.

I hope Arsenal come second above City...but you will not be able to overcome City...and certainly not both us and City.

He is moving away from Arsenal, so that consideration is not coming into play.
He is to make a choice between the suitors and that's where my point lies.

Good night lads.

United have more of a chance of winning trophies in the very short term than Arsenal. Simple as that.

That said, it's still a strange move for you lot if you get him. For £20m, you could buy someone younger and less injury prone in a position where you genuinely needed to strengthen. Weird signing that would probably be some kind of attempt at a statement of intent than anything else.

Wow. Injuries are part of the game. Who said otherwise? To use them to mitigate a marginal swing is one thing, but 19 points and goal difference are not the same thing.

We shall see about that.

how can you talk about people being deluded when you think Arsenal have a hope of finishing above United? City spent a fortune...a FORTUNE...and were fortunate to win it. We lost the league. If you think a club who has won the premiership one time, will cause people to have sleepless nights here, you obviously don't know what your talking about. It's like the liverpool mentality, thinking their still challengers. You've not been a threat for a very long time.

I'll wager you've felt that way for about 7 years now.

Well we went through a period where we had to sacrifice trophies for long term gain. We're coming out of that gradually, as shown by investment this year. There will come a point when United fall into the same situation as Arsenal so I wouldn't get too cocky.

Well that's easy. And you're point makes even less sense. We're Manchester United.

I grew up in the 70's and 80's, I'll be cocky while I can thanks.

I'm sure you will agree RVP is one of the best footballers in the world atm.

Sure we could get a younger player...not sure if he would be better though. I will agree the player being injury prone is the big concern. That is where the medical team will have to earn their pay.

Fergie may not be done after RVP though. So we may still get another midfielder.

How can you say that?
Our debt will be reduced by 70m. Our revenues are already high and will increase even more when Chevrolet and new Nike deal kick off(or any other shirt manufacturer).

If the FFP kicks in then we're in a better position than you. If it doesn't kicks in then we're in a better position than you. Fergie's not going anywhere for next two years.

Also your investment will be go back to zero when you sell RVP, Walcott and possibly Song.

Could the Arsenal fans please stop derailing our RVP muppet thread?:p

I'd rather we go down that route

I often wonder if Van Persie (last season) was playing for a healthier contract elsewhere.

If you sign another midfielder on top of RVP, it'll be a good summer for you, although a new left back wouldn't go amiss.

As far as I'm concerned, if you sign RVP Ferguson is essentially saying he doesn't think either Welbeck or Hernandez will kick on. It's just an incredibly strange and pointless move.

Financially you're not in trouble, I just think the new manager syndrome might hit you hard for a couple of seasons. I reckon Ferguson will go with Giggs, Rio, Vidic etc, and you might need a bit of a squad overhaul with a new manager. All speculation though.

Oh, and Walcott and Song aren't going.

I think Song's going. Walcott, I'm not sure about as he's incredibly average.

Ferguson, like Wenger is the master of long term planning. There's no chance that he'll leave his successor with a squad in need for a over-haul. IMO, our defense and goalkeeper is already sorted for the future.

Rooney, Wellbeck, Hernandez and RVP.

That does not mean two of those are no good. It means we have ambition and ability to go on all fronts.

We had 4 top quality forwards when we won the Treble.

Long-term, central midfield is the only place that isn't yet sorted, and even there, we're not completely bereft with Anderson, Cleverley, Powell, any or all of whom could lock down starting positions.

Let's not overplay the significance of your team beating City once. Our title chance probably had a little more to do with he 80 odd points we accumulated. Over the course of the season Sunderland were of more benefit to us than Arsenal.

Sir Alex on RvP: "We've made a bid, they've been trying to negotiate with other clubs. We have to persevere. Hopefully it comes our way."

.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

You really do come out with some incredibly retarded comments. If you'd read/heard the comments Fergie has made about Welbeck throughout with short career at United, you'd know how highly he rates him, and has done from a very young age. His displays last season will have just enhanced that view.

Good night lads.

He'd have even more chance of winning a title with Linfield. Maybe he'll go there.
