Looks like he's off :(

Such a shame it's going to end up like this! He was terrific for us last year - I remember the southampton away game where he scored a hattrick, thinking to myself we've got a player and a half here!!

well..if he is, then by goodness there is a helluva lot of rebuilding for Moyes to do. I mean seriously...for various reasons we could be losing a load of players this summer in all areas of the field. How much money is there? It wont' be enough at this rate...

I find it funny how he has the audacity to moan about so much stuff in so little time. I'll get stick for this, and I honestly couldn't give a shit.

To me, when he said "My teammates are in some of the areas where I want to play. This makes it difficult for me", I can only think he's talking about Wayne Rooney. I mean, who else could he be talking about? Furthermore, he goes onto say "then I have to change my tactics to suit my teammates, and play outside my zone. That's a pity." Well, welcome to the real world Robin. It's a TEAM game son. Rooney's been doing that for like 8 years for Utd. Despite wanting to play up top, over the years, Rooney's played on the wing, second striker, attacking midfielder, centre midfielder, etc, just to accommodate others. Why should you be treated differently? At the end of the day, there's eleven men on the pitch. If someone's in your 'zone', you move into another zone. It's not rocket science! FFS!.

I thought it was aimed at Danny Welbeck, as he got in the way of his shot which was going on target, and then Robin just sat on the ground for ages.

Very disappointing, no excuse for that. You certainly find out more about people when you're in the shit.

His attitude has been a big let down in this season of let downs. As one of the seasoned pros, he should be leading by example but he prefers to sulk (admittedly for a good reason).

How is he supposed to lead by example when we dont even involve him in the play? He was reduced to chasing long punts from our CBs.

By not sulking.

If you're referring to his comments post match, I agree with you. Always been against anyone using the media as a channel. On the pitch, he has one of the better attitudes in the squad. You can see how much he wants to win.

You are all kidding yourselves if you think players speaking out will help hasten Moyes' departure. It sets a terrible precedent. SAF is obsessed with players not getting bigger than the club and will make sure we ship out the trouble makers before the manager. If anything, it will help identify who we need to get rid of in the summer.

As if Fergie has the power to do any of that, if he was indeed that mental.

No, it's aimed clearly at Rooney- who was playing almost entirely where RvP likes to in the first half, until he was needed to drop deeper into midfield.

I know..but he's just pouring fuel onto the fire, it's just making everything worse for any possible smidgen of team spirit and harmony left...

Yeah, as I said, shouldnt be speaking out in public. But if the players are unhappy with MOyes, they absolutely must take it up with the board. As I've said multiple times, we're criminally wasting our players.

I would be p***ed off too if I was in his position, but he really shouldn't be criticizing the tactics publically. Question the manager all you want behind closed doors but the club needs to put up a United front in these troubling times.

agreed. I love the guy, think he's a brilliant player when on form and with the right attitude. But in all honesty...I've never seen him as a 'united' player, if you get my drift. Even now I find it odd seeing him in a united shirt. And voicing things as he did, well, kind of underlines that for me.

Wah wash it's everyone's fault but mine. Spent too long under wenger and inherited his whinginess

Again, as many in here seem to have missed this part: Van Persie is not having a go at anyone in that interview. He just answers the questions. He was specifically asked if he was not allowed to come deeper to feel the ball more, and he answered that he would like to but it's difficult because those zones are often occupied by team mates. What do you think he should've said? "No I don't want to come deeper and see more of the ball"? Or "I want to but I'm not allowed"?

He gave an honest answer that reveals that not everything is perfect in the tactical department, but then again wasn't that obvious? He didn't seem particularly frustrated or unhappy in that interview either. Of course, he wasn't exactly overjoyed, but what do you expect? The reactions to this interview are ridiculous and I can't help but feel the media are deliberately taking advantage of the fact that it's in a foreign language so few people can verify their bullshit stories.

In short: nothing to see here.

What zone is he talking about? That's how he played last season as well except he got plenty of chances last season and hasn't done this season. Seems like a thinly veiled dig at Moyes.

Don't blame him though. Moyes has turned a squad of confident premier league winners into a bunch of lost midtable players. Looks a shadow of the player he was last season.

He looked disinterested, balls played to him he didnt bother to chase and in most cases he failed to acknowledge the ball at all. I was surprised by his miss, i thought he would have worked the keeper after creating the space for himself. Whatever happens in the future i would like to say THANK YOU for delivering the 20th Premier League title.

I wouldn't be surprised if, behind the scenes at least, he agitates for a move this summer. He didn't come here to play in the Europa and the man that signed him is gone, so he's not that tied to the club.

Why people still insist that we should play both him and Rooney?

Well the problem is that van Gaal last week practically said that RvP is unhappy with our training and much prefers training with the dutch squad who put more emphasis on technical and football orientated training. Now this week he is practically saying that his manager is using him wrong and that he would like to be allowed to drop deeper to get more involved in our game probably like he did for Arsenal.

He isn't exactly directly saying "Moyes training sucks and his tactics are wrong" but it's still criticizing the way Moyes does things. He isn't wrong though with what he is saying and yes he was honest but the thing is in football you sometimes can't be this open about such things. If you can't be bothered to lie on behalf of your manager then just dodge the question like Carrick did when asked if Moyes is the right man to turn it around.

I am inclined to think that even these apps have started taking the piss now. I clearly remember there were 2 or 3 times that Rooney tried to square it inside the box for RvP - which was obviously blocked.

It only accounts for passes that were completed I believe.

Not to mention he was talking about passes from Rooney to RVP. This is the other way around.

Fair to say RVP isn't exactly happy with the way him and Rooney are playing together.

Rooney's passes to Van Persie should be added as well. He made four passes to Van Persie, which is a whole lot more.

Albeit, two of them were from kickoff...

Last season there were many moments where Rooney and RVP linked up very well. Dunno whats happened this season.

Last season there was definitely more of a partnership and quite a few direct assists to each other, this year there's less of a partnership but that could be more down to our tactics.

Fixed.

They might as well not exist for each other on the pitch.

If I was one of the best strikers in the world and getting service like that, I'd be getting a bit pissed off too. However, it's not like he hasn't been missing a few easy ones himself.
