His only good game after the return was when he played with Mata, and his few good ones at the start of season were with Welbeck. Coincidence?

It would be nice of someone would confirm those words.

Saying that, I am not surprised at all. No way player of his quality can be this poor.

If he and Rooney aren't really getting on, surely DM would be aware of this yet they play together all the time when both fit.
I don't buy it, I think RVP just doesn't buy into DM and having a dig at the tactics. Rooney was playing far to deep tonight to be getting in his space.

It is strange that he's consistently scored against the top teams in the league even when he gets just one genuine chance in the game and yet he can't seem to do the same in the CL. Not sure what the second point is about though. He made so few passes because he was given the ball so little. It's a travesty that someone with so much skill on the ball sees the ball so rarely.
van Persie is the type of centre forward that gets involved in the play, he's not a forward who is out to only convert opportunities given to him as if he is a poacher. He had a couple of good scenes with hold-up play, yet it completely disappeared in the second half. It didn't look like he was even actively attempting to go for the ball, rather waiting for service.

You can't even use the excuse that the team was starved of the ball - Rooney dropped deep to collect the ball, and van Persie has certainly done that before in his United and Arsenal career, but he didn't do it at all. It was a completely uninspired performance from him, capped off by a woeful miss late on.

It could very well be the case. Moyes handed Rooney everything on a silverplate, something that surely didn't happen under SAF. I think he is having a go at Moyes all in all.

If this is true then he's most certainly leaving in the summer no two ways about it. Can't blame him when he's starved of any semblance of service. Shame things had to turn out this way though. Just can't imagine what kind of hideous monster DM will conjure with his neanderthal tactics.

You do realize that Neanderthals were as smart as, and had much more developed brains than humans?

Agree with everything else though.

It is strange how uninvolved he is with our general play. He's a player who's more than capable on the ball. He even spent a few seasons at Arsenal playing as a number 10.

For the english lads,

Robin said he was unhappy with the game, we played bad but they didn't create much either. The chance I had went pretty good but the shot was to hasty and if you only get one chance in a match like this...you need to score it.

But now it gets interesting. Jack van Gelder (interviewer) asked if Robin feels frustrated being isolated (couldn't find the proper way to translate this, but basically not getting any football) wanting to and because of that feels the urge to drop back. Or if hes not allowed to do that.

This is RvP's reply: "I am allowed to drop back to touch the ball, but my teammates also sometimes play in the position where i like to play. And if i see that then its hard for me to also play there, so im forced to change my run paths because of my teammates.

And unfortunately they play too often in my zone and i don't like that."

Interview: Do you know what is wrong with this United?

RvP: Yeah but, I won't point fingers, because im not like that.

Edit:

Lineker confirms.

Clearly speaking out against the tactics. Not surprised.

It's hard to argue against the idea that Moyes has lost the dressing room. Probably lost it a long time ago.

Seriously Moyes had all the backing in the world, but if I have to decide between keeping RvP or sack Moyes it's quite an easy decision.

Go on Robin. The more players that turn on him publicly the better to be honest. It's pretty obvious that absolutely nobody, other then Young and Valencia probably, like having Moyes at the helm.

Do you think RVP didn't drop back like Rooney because: A) he's been told not to or B) he just can't be arsed to win the champions league?

I'll give you a clue. In his first ever away game in the CL for us, last season, he made 47 passes.

Most interesting bit of that to me wasn't the part you had in bold. Most interesting bit was where Van Persie says he knows who to blame but wont say cos he aint like that.

And so it begins..

Moyes won't last long now. Matter of time before the players started to speak out.

Interesting. I wonder what or who could he have been talking about?

FFS. What the fluck is going on, RVP has a fantastic attitude yet he's coming out with that.

What is RVP on about? He's absolutely isolated upfront, have the whole final third to himself to stroll about. Is he on mushrooms?

I'm pretty sure RVP came to a professional conclusion that moyes wasn't good enough probably sometime around august of last year when utd were playing friendlies in asia....he just hasn't looked interested this season and to be honest I don't blame him

I'm sorry, but for a player we are paying £200k a week, he has missed one too many chances this season. We have slated many players for far less.
Top scorer despite missing half the season and with little to no service. Van Persie deserves no slating.

Any one of the wingers or Rooney I'd imagine. Most probably Rooney, they do bunch up often.

Rooney is pushed too far forward and is too interested in getting it wide so he can run into the box and get onto the end of crosses. Rooney also very rarely runs in behind Van Persie when Van Persie drops deep which simply compresses the space. Besides Januzaj and Mata, we also seem to lack the attacking midfield players who will make central runs when Van Persie chooses to run the channels. When Robin drifts wide there is often very little attempt to make runs inside of him so he can pick players out. Instead the likes of Valencia literally stand there waiting as if they haven't got a clue what to do.

All in all there isn't enough movement and variation in the side to bring the best out of Robin Van Persie. This has to be as a result of the managerial change because last season there was more than enough. Moyes' flat 4-4-2 with wingers bolted to the touchline just does not offer Van Persie what he needs to play his best football. We know RVP is unhappy, Van Gaal has said it, it will only get worse from here. Van Persie did not sign for United to play in the Europa League and fight for sixth place.

It's obvious that RVP does not respect Moyes and does not like the coaches. He wants out and hes doing his best to get a move in the summer.
