Is that a normal procedure, our players training with other clubs to get fit? Seems a bit weird.

He's off to PSV in January mate, done deal. We get Park back.

Seriously though, no, I think that it's not really 'training with PSV' but more like training with one of the fitness coaches that works for them, I've read it somewhere the other day. I think it's more or less 'normal' because few days ago there were some speculations about Draxler leaving Schalke for Bayern because he was seen somewhere near Bayern clinic, and as it turned out, he visited some doctor there that helps him overcome his injuries or so. The same doctor was helping other athletes, such as Bolt, or the homeless scousers, such as captain Starfish. I suppose that same thing applies here with different coaches, a wild guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if the same coach worked with the Dutch NT.

I remember hearing in his last year with arsenal he was working closely with the Dutch national team physios as he felt they achieved better results for him compared to arsenals physios.

I find myself pretending he doesn't exist just so I don't wonder about how much of a difference he could make just by being fit.

I watched the goals compilation of last season. He scored so many goals from hopeful passes and average crosses. His ability in the box with many of those goals was incredible.

We really really miss him. I don't think we'd be challenging for first but we wouldn't be wondering what it would be like to be out of the top 4 come May.

As brilliant as Rooney has been, I have to maintain my belief that van Persie is the key. The technique and composure he showed last season when fit and firing won games and made others around him more confident.

When VP comes back, Valencia's crosses will be buried a lot, and we'll start winning again.

 what kind of criteria is that?

How many countries do you think are in South America?

Uruguay, Chile and Colombia have nothing to show for in terms of football, eh? Problem is, Suarez would also clearly be ranked above him...

I do think some of his crosses would be buried though, but not all.

If RVP is out for another 6 weeks, we will struggle a lot with the 4th position. It's basically the same as having Suarez out for Liverpool.

Oh comon, he isn't that bad. Actually, he's easily the best non-Argentine/Brazilian South American player after Falcao.

This is surely a wind up. He's better than Suarez, Cavani, Alexis etc...? Antonio Valencia is so far from the player he was when he was named United's player of the year award in 11/12 that you'd think he's got a twin brother.

Van Persie is a superb player but he's a striker, he's not going to dribble from our box to the opposition area and score. Before he got injured RVP was feeding off of scraps because of how poorly we were playing and when he returns it'll be the same. Conning ourselves that, as if by magic, Van Persie's return will solve everything is just desperate. A number 9, needs the 10 other players giving him chances to show his stuff.

Our official site had article saying that he is in Netherlands for treatment but he was at match today. Maybe he has returned from the treatment. Hopefully it is not 6 weeks before he is fully fit. I hope he is back by month end by latest... somehow.

Would be brilliant if he was back on Sunday. There's probably a 0.01% chance of it but him and Rooney starting would give us an ever so slight chance of a win.

RVP loves scoring in London, just remember last year those 2 quick fire goals

Probably a little too early for him, but it would be a huge boost to atleast have him in the squad.

Lets not rush him back though. Welbz has been doing well(bz) and Chicharito has a good record against Chelsea as well as many have pointed out. The last thing we need is to aggrevate anything by rushing RVP back. Would sooner soldier on without him for another couple of weeks and be sure he is ready when he does come back.

I'd rather start neither of them. 2 of them returning from injury at the same time in a big match, with Rooney's tendency to play poor on return from injury, when we actually have a striker that's bang in form...

Robin van Persie: Manchester United striker backs Moyes
Striker Robin van Persie has given his backing to David Moyes as the Manchester United boss looks to address the club's stop-start season.
Moyes, in his first season in charge, has guided the Premier League champions to the last 16 of the Champions League as well as theLeague Cup semi-finals.
But they lie seventh in the league and are out of the FA Cup.
"Moyes needs time, he's new," said Van Persie. "The manager is our leading man and he will change things around."
Van Persie, who has been sidelined for a month with a thigh problem, is confident United's fortunes will improve "sooner rather than later".
"We lost too many points this year, but we are doing everything we can to change that," said the 30-year-old Dutchman.
Van Persie, a £24m signing from Arsenal in August 2012, was a key figure for United last season, scoring 30 goals in all competitions as they claimed a 13th Premier League title.
It was the last of 38 trophies for Sir Alex Ferguson as United manager before stepping down at the end of the season.
In contrast, Moyes arrived from Everton without a top-level trophy as manager, although that soon changed when United beat FA Cup winners Wigan to lift the Community Shield on 11 August.
Van Persie says Moyes was surprised when the United players refused to get too carried away following that 2-0 success at Wembley.
"We are used to winning," said Van Persie. "If you win, it's a normal day at the office. After the Community Shield win, none of the players really celebrated, or played music, as it was the way things were."

He's not really going to say anything else when we're paying him 200+ grand a week... but some encouraging quotes nonetheless.

We need this beast back in the team!

He will take as long as he wants to get back. In a World Cup year, he will do everything to be fit at the end of the season.

Loving his quotes.. We will come back and get back into the race.. if those two come back early and stay healthy.

Where's all the lads that were so cock sure that RvP was desperately unhappy under Moyes today? Surely some comment on the article given all the bollocks that's been spouted in so many threads about how he was disillusioned and being over trained, and could only flourish under Rene....

They are just going to take their quotes from the Fletcher thread: "What else is he supposed to say?"
