There are stories going around that he is not very happy at United. I know Mark Lawrenson is a plonker, but he is a friend of Moyes. I've heard Lawrenson say twice on Irish radio that SAF promised RVP that he would not be retiring for a few more seasons and thats what convinced him to join us. Apparently he is not happy now and is a complex character and not giving his best in training.

I've heard that too. I suspect its the usual bullshit you get when a player has been out for a while.

If its true, well thanks for last year Robin, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Fergie in his book admitted he told RVP he had no intention of retiring and apologised to him when he did...

Missed that - fair enough. It would still surprise me if RVP wants out now because he feels cheated: Telling someone you have no intention to retire isn't the same as promising you'll stay on for several years. And I also find it very odd if RVP looked on it as a condition - Fergie was obviously near retirement no matter how you look at it.

What a shite argument.
.

So if Rooney and Kagawa are out and we have a player who everyone feels best position is number 10 we shouldn't play him there?

I'm not talking about whether we should or shouldn't have bought him to play No10, whether people wanted him or not, he's here now - so surely it would be logical for Moyes to play him in, what everyone here seems to think is, his best position, when the other players we have for that position are out injured...

How exactly is that a bullshit arguement? Kagawa hasn't contributed a whole lot more this year yet some people are arguing we should play him at number 10 because it's his best position, some even suggest we drop Rooney to do so.

If its true, and it's a big if, he can go. We need spirit and guts at the mo, not an arsenal style bottle job. Never thought I'd say it but we need players with rooneys attitude and fight.

 What a feckin' mess. If true - IF true. Moyes' reaction to the RVP questions at the presser was a bit...something. But then again he wasn't in a good mood, for obvious reasons.

Well, I guess it would solve one of his problems: How to make Rooney and RVP a dynamic duo...

Christ, though. This could turn into a bloody circus.

"Certainly Everton are a much better team than Manchester United, no doubt about that Matt" Do one, Lawrenson

I hope this rumour follows the trend of Lawro's famous predictions...

Wouldn't be all that surprised. It does look like SAF being the manager played a huge part in Robin coming here and I can understand if he's a little miffed if he felt mislead by SAF.

How long before the conspiracy theories start to blame Moyes for a player whose injury prone being injured?

To be fair, Dutch FA asked clarification to United this week about several injuries of RVP in training.

On the bright side, Kagawa at No.10!

If this was true (and it probably isn't) then it would be so crap it's almost funny. What else could go wrong?

Everything around the club stinks at the moment.

Does it or is that the way the media are trying to perceive it?

I think we and these so called ITK's know very little of whats actually happening, everything is being taken in the worst possible way, the media want Moyes to feck up, it'd be the biggest story in years. No smoke without fire but it doesn't help people fanning the flames.

Highly doubt this is true. If it is then he needs to grow up.

If he isn't happy then why should he stay?

If he wants to leave then fair play, just don't feck the club about in the process. Nor set up a PR team to feed biased stories into the daily rags. Hand in a transfer request and go from there.

We're going to find it difficult keeping onto world class players and attracting them with Moyes in charge. Really hope this story is a load of bollocks. Him and Rooney are by far our best players and we need them badly right now.

I'm sure he's had moments of reflection this season....

 You're loving this, ain't you?

Let's indulge ourselves for a moment, just for the hell of it: If this is true - where would he go? We surely couldn't sell him back? It would be - I don't know, actually. Tragicomic, I suppose.

Stop with this. They really, really don't. He's had an easy ride from the beginning. There was next to zero criticism of his appointment; instead vast amounts of support. Moyes' appointment was an important one for the jingoists out there. A British manager finally gets a crack at the big time. This narrative is a lot bigger than "Moyes in crisis" in the long-term. The media is fully aware that Moyes failing means that the scepticism surrounding Harry and Big Sam et al. will only increase. I'm not saying that the Van Persie story is true, however, the media absolutely do not want to "feck Moyes up." Moyes is doing a grand job of that all by himself, if I'm honest. And yes, I think everything stinks at the moment. It's a really strange feeling and it's actually quite humbling.

We look lost when he doesn't play. What's our record without him, bet it isn't healthy.

Did this up myself. Should be accurate enough.

I think its rubbish but most of the better players much have been disappointed by the summer window. What an opportunity to build on a title winning team and as a club we blew it. Now it looks as if all the momentum has been lost and we are fighting fire for the rest of the season in the league.

You can't ask for a better United source than an anti-psychic ex-Liverpool player.

Dunno bout this, mate. "United in free fall" is a story about as big as they get - and the jingoists in London have never been all that fond of United (or Scottish managers).

Great post. According to some people here (Eyepopper and co) the amazing David Moyes has done everything right, but for some strange mysterios reasons the media and fans are interpreting everything against him and have turned on him. Also, the players have suddenly turned to shit and we need to sell half of them in order to accomodate Moyes. feck all the players who have brought us all those trophies, they are at fault, not the average manager whos only trophy is a Community Shield. He is doing everything perfectly right but yeah, people hate him. They would hate him even if he brings us the treble and pays the tickets from his own pocket.
