I suppose if someone has the time to go through the game and create a video compilation, all the power to them. There's a lot stranger videos on YouTube.

Difference between video of Gnabry and RVP is that the former is an average player who's got feck all to show while the latter's showing some brilliant stuff that's overlooked as we're used to his tremendous skill.

Oh, and I'm one of the only people on this forum who has attended 'referee videos-making-school,' and trust me, that's not a penalty. a very useful video.

 You have to be winding me up here.

He must be a nightmare to defend against. When he plays that well I wonder what plan opposition defenders try to conjure up to stop him. He's not the fastest, but his quality of movement makes that irrelevant, he's incredibly strong on the ball with the most precise of touches including magnetic close control, so you can't exactly bully him, he also has a full range of finishes to hurt teams with. He's just simply unstoppable.

If he leads us to more success in the next couple of years and continues to be a decisive player he'll go down as a legend. I've seen plenty of strikers for our club but IMO he's the best of the lot.

King Eric is still the best skill wise, and also is more creative. That said, RvP is a goal scoring machine and I agree with all of what you said except am a little skeptical about this last bit

For me, RvN is still United best striker. He's like a more technical Drogba.

RvN was definitely better than RvP, and especially better for United. RvP would need a few more seasons to be in that conversation.

One reason was that our team was set up to bring the best out of RvN back then. And now that RvP is here, we have mis firing wingers and a non existent midfield. In that respect, I think RvP has done quite well in the near 1.5 seasons he has spent here.

Different quality of players though. We had a good team for Van Nistelrooy's first couple of seasons, but then it all fell apart. we were in full rebuilding his last couple of seasons here.

That tackle on Arteta leading to Rooney's chance
He's been doing it a lit this season. The Valencia goal against Leverkusen came from him dispossessing someone like that deep in our own half and starting a counter attack, and I think he did something similar against Fulham?
He also pressed from the front all game against Arsenal. He was excellent at closing them down from the front and they played more long balls than they've played in any game all season against us, mainly because RvP and Rooney (and Jones!) didn't give them an inch all game. He's been peripheral in some games (his injuries are the reason imo) but still having a massive impact in the goals. This was the most he's been involved I thought.
Our wingers and fullbacks seem to be pumping in a load of crosses but they're mostly inaccurate. Take time and pick him out damnit rather than just hitting an early cross.

Yes. He's just a perfect center forward. More technical and faster than Vieri.

He made the through ball to Januzaj resulting in Valencia's goal against Fulham.

Actually it was his pass to Rooney that set him up Valencia, and Januzaj's pass to RVP to score.

Walcott has a book? ............................

He does. Unfortunately, I've read it. I downloaded it for a laugh, but I couldn't stop reading it. It's so fecking awful but inherently hilarious. There's a whole chapter about how he chatted up his girlfriend and bought her a car.

It reads like some sadact teenagers Livejournal.

It really does read like a teenager's diary.

And I'm pretty sure that book is years old and before RVP joined us. It's no petty, personal attack; just a kid in his early twenties trying to fill up an entire book.

I can actually imagine Van Persie, with that big cheesy grin, sprinting around the training ground shouting "Whassaaaaap," to be fair.

That said, why on earth do sportspeople release autobiographies half way through their careers? Just wait until you're retired.

Walcott has just ensured getting smashed next game out.

What a complete twat, from one of the supposed "Nice guys" of football. Basically using VP's name to try and sell his own pile of sh!T.

He should just have a chapter entitled "how I con 100k a week"

It's from August '12 though, so it's not because of him switching clubs

If RVP had stayed with them and won a title for them he'd have a section as the greatest lad on earth.

Pretty pointless thing to put in your autobiography in the middle of your career.

Don't be daft. The lad's got two League Cup runner-up medals. The human species was never gonna sit idly by and wait for this one.

I know I'll get laughed at for trying to appear ITK, but I heard on numerous occasions at Arsenal that the players thought RVP was a complete idiot. They also couldn't believe Andre Santos was a professional footballer.

I don't know as much about Arsenal than about Liverpool, unfortunately.

Typical bitter and small time gooner. Mentioning RVP like that to sell his book.

To be honest, this is exactly the kind of stuff I want in autobiographies. It's hilarious.

And there can be no team-politics based on autobiographies. Ferguson's comments about Jordan Henderson were a low-blow, just as a recent example.

"Wow, I'd like to read a book about Theo Walcott's success as a footballer"

...said nobody. ever.

Rooney, Cleverley and Evans were on a google+ hangout a few months back and Rooney said RvP was often on the receiving end of pranks in the dressing room and described him as 'not the brightest' which at the time I thought was a bit rich coming from Rooney.

SAF made several comments on his comments that I didn't personally like tbh. Gave attention to basically some nobodies. Who in their right mind is willing to purchase Walcott's book though ?
