Hmmmmm van Nistelrooy ??
he didn't have the defensive attacking ability of a Kuyt for example

Ruud was not as versatile either - Kuyt successfully fulfilled roles as a striker, a winger and as chunk in 80's movie the Goonies

You're thinking of Sloth. Right?

All this excitement for him, all time leading goalscorer for his country, being finally considered better than Dirk Kuyt. Must be a great feeling. Hope he enjoys it and makes the most of these precious moments, next week he's back to shitty old Moyeschester United, and his dreary, depressing existence in the cesspit of Carrington. Life, eh? Peaks and troughs.

Aye, we should all let the Chelsea and Arsenal fans speak utter nonsense without replying in a Man United forum.

I can step in as perfunctory village sage and settle the matter impartially for you, if you like.

Hopefully he's got a big cache of prozac to help him deal with the depression of being RVP.

Sooner he retires from international duty the better. Hopefully after this World Cup, although that's probably wishful thinking.

the dutch had qualified for the world cup with something like 2 or 3 games to spare. and RVP just became their all time top scorer last time around. why do they need to play him again last night? give him a bit of rest ffs!!!

I'd to see this forums reaction if an English non-united Player retired early from international duty.

I think this forum would give less of a shit than most football forums you could look at. People on here consistently want to see United players get out of international football, including England players, and I can't recall ever seeing other clubs' players getting criticised for doing so.

I guess it's all down to the general ambvialent attitude towards England of a lot of English United fans. I don't know of any other club whose supporters are less enthusiastic about the national team.

Really?

Over the last couple of years that's been happening almost constantly. No-one has given much of a shit.

Of course your point sort of still stands. The problem is that the only player whose retirement from England would have the same impact as RVPs from the Netherlands is a United player, Rooney. And even as a United fan I'd hate to see that.

Going to make something similar to the video above quite soon. Are there any good RvP videos showing his hold up play?

I loved the part he played in winning the ball back in the move that lead to the Valencia goal vs Leverkusen, so include that please MoneyMay

I mean highlight videos. I don't think there are any showing his excellent hold up play.

I don't think there are videos that just show his hold up play, but in this video you have lot of material, but the quality of the video isn't that good though:

Couple of excellent examples of his hold up play.

I'll be going for something like this:

After the main headline from the presser today(Rooney farting on training), someone actually bothered to post other news from presser today too(someone actually cares about van Persie, Cleverley, or Fellaini being injured), so van Persie could be out for tomorrow:

I am guessing Welbeck will start up front tomorrow.

He was there in the team training pics which were put up on site and official FB page. Might start on bench. Worryingly Young was there as well. :nervous:
