He's one of many reasons we're sitting on a huge lead.
One of many, but one of the main I would say, firmly behind SAF but in front of everyone else.

I don't think anyone thinks he's playing well so give it a rest about grasping the context of a conversation. PM me if you want to drag this out any longer.
He scored a couple of good goals in the intenationals, so how's he out of form?
Lack of service and support is the biggest problem
Don't think his form has been that good since just after the turn of the year, we really missed Rooney today.
Exactly.
He missed because he is out of form and playing poorly.
Goalscoring form or is his touch and overall play really that bad?
Goal scoring form is clear for everyone to see, touch and control aren't too bad but things arent happening for him naturally IMO, everything's a little too forced at the moment. I think his 'drought' is playing on his mind a little, probably just needs a goal or two to get his full confidence back and starting playing instinctively again.
There's a good post by feed me I think on the previous page which sums it up nicely.
I see. Interesting take. Thanks for not being smart with the reply.
I still don't get why he was rested on Monday. We have no CL games left where Fergie feels he needs to rest his important players. Why not just let him play?

Heh. Sometimes posters take my questions/comments a bit too personally and respond with some smart comments. Just thanking you for keeping it civil.
Excellent free-kick. To use that terrible cliché, it was undefendable.
jones came close to defending it
He looks really leggy to me. A week off for Chicharito might be just what he needs.
no service today. only half chances
If Robin van Persie doesn't score in his next game, he'll equal Fernando Torres's longest goal drought for Chelsea.
Is this right ?
"van Persie was absolute fantastic today" - Sir Alex
He was good yeah.
SAF obviously knows he needs a confidence boost. Fantastic he wasn't.
