And he gets rewarded by the disloyal, greedy cnut fecking off as soon as he gets injury-free for 18 months.
If most Arsenal fans had their way, Van Persie would have been sold years ago because of the injuries. Wenger and him are on good terms, so there should not be any animosity.

It was nothing to do with greed.

I don't know about that. That family video above suggests otherwise

what an incredible first touch from Giggys' amazing ball. Special player. I feel we could win the league/UCL double this year if he's not sent off for kicking the ball away milliseconds after a whistle. Just need the back four to be settled and we are sorted.

That Talksport one? I suggest you look at some of the other videos on their channel. It is a windup.:lol:

Dont think there is any doubt that hes the best player in the prem. Personally I thought so even before he went to us but he just seems to have gone up even another level. Amazing player. And he seems so hungry, so intent on winning matches and in the end trophies. That drive combined with that talent makes for a very special player.

There's a massive gulf in class in between Messi and Barca and Ronaldo and Madrid. He's as good as Ronaldo, none of this top 3 stuff. It's Messi-----------Ronaldo Van Persie.

Let's not get carried away just yet :nervous:

When asked by a shareholder whether the Dutchman was sold to increase the club's profit, Hill-Wood replied: "We undertake our transfers for football reasons and not FFP. Money is available to Arsene."

He's nowhere near as good as Ronaldo. I agree that Messi's much better than Ronaldo, but it's laughable that people are now putting Van Persie on Ronaldo's level.

Right Player, Right Club, Right Time.

My special season balls are tingling.

Yeah, he was sold because he wanted to feck off for more money. You don't think Wenger would have sold him to Man Utd if he had any choice?

Can't really believe we're still covering this ground, but if it was just about money why didn't he go to City?

Are you suggesting they couldn't offer more? Pretty unlikely.

Better players around him.
Maybe not so technically, but tactically yes.

At Arsenal, making him the captain added to his maturity. The fact that Arsenal haven't kicked on from last season means the signing has been magnified and more criticism is laid upon Wenger and their board.

Their goalscoring threat will never go away because Arsene seems to buy plenty of attacking players and the system is fluid. Yet their problem for years has been the brittle defence and bottling mentality of certain players.

How is it laughable? If anything RVP has proved that he's not a flat deck bully, unlike Ronaldo.

It's not laughable at all. He's having an identical effect on our team that Ronaldo did from 06-08. Teams absolute fear him. It makes them go to shit mentally and do things they would not normally do. This guy can do anything he wants to on a football field, he is that good.

Ronaldo's hardly a flat track bully though. If he wants to be then he can play that way, but he has so much more to his game than that. He's got pace, power, a great shot, but is great technically when it comes to aspects like dribbling, his touch and close control. To reduce Ronaldo to a flat track bully is massively underrating him. And if we're going to judge them by goals, then Ronaldo's record has been better than Van Persie's in recent times, even with Van Persie being at his best.

Ronaldo may not be as good as Messi, or near to being as good as him for that matter, but he's still a brilliant player in his own right who could go down as one of the all-time greats. Van Persie on the other hand is a world class striker who belongs in the grouping of the likes of Ibrahimovic and Falcao at the moment.

He's an efficient goal machine. One who's not a team player. And what next? Pace, power, determination? I think Ronaldo is in the same group as Van Persie and Falcao ie great but not a patch on Messi.

Where were the opinions that Van Persie was better than Ronaldo 6 months ago?

I'd agree that he's not on the same level as Messi, but I'd still have him above that group of world class forwards comfortably. He's a lot more than just 'efficient'.

Flat track bully? Are you an imbecile? Do you know what a flat track bully is?

A flat track bully is a Peter Crouch for England, who only scores his goals against the toilet nations.

Ronaldo scores against EVERYONE. Barcelona, Euro finals, cup finals, Man City, everyone.

And don't forget he scores double the amount VP does.

Easy tiger, no need to get your panties in a twist. Sorry for hurting your feelings.

Rooney was a bigger cnut last year, blackmailing his club, but van Persie has comprehensively outcunted him.

Yes, just like it was laughable to suggest that Carrick's actually a very good midfielder. You'll come around Mr. Cheese, you just need things to smack you in the face before you cotton onto them.

You've been chatting nonsense, I've shown you the error of your ways, and now we can all calm down and have a drink.

And rejoice in having the best striker in the country at least.

How opinions change, eh? No doubt that if Van Persie was to have a barren run and Rooney hit his stride then Van Persie would be degraded from better than Ronaldo to inferior than Rooney considering opinions seem to change quicker here than Chelsea's managers do.

I'd say in terms of pure technical ability, RVP is as gifted as Ronaldo.

by having the cheek to want to actually try and win something in what is a very short career?
what a bastad

And Peter Crouch the flat deck bully... who next? Robbie Savage?

I think Ronaldo's the very definition of that term. The odd goal against a reserve Barca side won't change that.

I'll happily admit that Carrick's a very good midfielder. It's just annoying when people go from saying he's 'meh' to 'world class' within a month or so when he hits his stride, when the truth is that he's a very good midfielder without being a world class one.

Van Persie as good as or better than Ronaldo is just silly though. No one would've said it 6 months ago either because he was an Arsenal player: that's probably the funniest part of it all.

I'm afraid that's true.
The "Now" is always ranked higher than it should be.

You can see that when you see a "Best ever" poll, it's normally awash with current or recent players.

You've lost your cool and thrown a hissy fit, that's all... But yeah enlightening stuff.

The Newcastle home game is on a rerun on the EPL-channel. Fergie's currently bollocking Dean.

I'll sit down with a glass of red wine and enjoy Van Persie's second half me thinks.

Have you seen his goal stats? It's close to a goal a game in over 100 Madrid games?
He scores against Barcelona most games. Do you count ever other goal as a flat track bully goal?

What about VP's today? West Ham are sh!t, so is he a flat track bully?
