I've watched the goal about twenty times now and I still can't get my head around the technique involved to do that at such speed. Let's not forget the defender is within a yard of him when that ball is landing, but Robin's control is so good it even surprises the defender, who if you look closely enough, is anticipated a miscontrol.
The goal would not have been possible had the pass from Giggsy not been weighted so well, Robin's run was so well-timed, his control not so perfect and the finish so precise. If any of those components were even a half-foot out of sync, we're out of the FA Cup.
