Roberto De Zerbi

Surely you don't go from Brighton to Barcelona.
That'd be madness.

Obviously not qualified enough for United. Needs to progress to Villa and then Arsenal. If he does well against the odds with both, then maybe we can consider him at Old Trafford.

Mmm Farioli

No CL titles under his belt. Completely unqualified.

Have you seen the record of ex Everton managers?

Koeman went to Barcelona...Ancelotti to Madrid...Martinez to Belgium and now Portugal...

It can't be us can it? Hard to imagine we'd keep things this well guarded. I'd expect leaks galore if we got De Zerbi.

No one had a clue about Berrada.

I love the revisionism in here. Some people saying "haha told you he's shite - remember he was highly rated last season LoL"... Erm, yes, he was highly rated when he done extremely well last season leading Brighton into Europe. This season has definitely been poor, and he deserves some critique.

What worries me most is that he kind of reminds me somewhat of Brendan Rodgers from years ago: His teams could look great in attack but absolutely woeful defensively. I'm aware they've had injuries at the back this season, which has obviously played its part in that.

Top manager based on..?

Based on the football his teams play, his integration of young players, Brighton finishing 6th last season and a penalty shootout away from an FA cup final, and the chasings his team have given Utd over the last 2 seasons. He might not have trophies to show for it yet, but there’s evidence there that with good players his teams can be dominant in games in a way Utd have not been since Ferguson

All the rumours say McKenna but I’d like Potter back personally
Russell Martin's teams play a very possession based game, and he's quickly worked his way from league one to championship play off finalist - happily jumping ship from two different clubs already in a short space of time.

A team like Brighton look the dream kind of playing style and size of club for his first PL job. If Southampton lose to Leeds (or even if they win, maybe?) I think that might be an interesting move for both parties? Similar situation to McKenna, I suppose.

The thread title is giving me mini nightmares with the words "United" & "Confirmed" in it.

I cant believe he is leaving, something big must have happened behind tbe scenes for this to happen.
I imagine our board couldn’t get a cast iron guarantee about him staying for next season, our chairman Tony Bloom, is always decisive and decided to part ways now with plenty of time to get fixed up for the summer and next season rather than have this rumble on and lose him in August.
