Roberto De Zerbi

I cant believe he is leaving, something big must have happened behind tbe scenes for this to happen.
He’s never liked Brighton’s recruitment model. So the owner probably told him the summer plans and they’ve fallen out over it?

Okay, this is a surprise. Wonder if he has been sacked or heading for the Barcelona job?

Utd should get him - top manager for no fee. I think he’d do great at Utd

This is definitely a sacking. They've been shit this season.

I think it's a mutual termination type thing. He was constantly flirting with moving and rumours him and Bloom had bust ups over recruitment. Better for Brighton and their model to cut ties and get someone who wants to be there.

Moyes got sacked and he finished above Brighton.

The Brighton board seemingly not happy with 10-12th place finish

He has had a poor season, it goes totally unmentioned on sky sports but after the love-in they gave him early doors they can't really do a 180 and start staying he is a failure.

Bet they have sacked him but didn't want to appear that way to the outsiders.

Haven't they had injuries? Plus it's Brighton and they're largely overperforming and they sell their best players each year.

I thought he was linked with Bayern

Or that.

As for him, I remain unconvinced. It will be interesting to see if he can measure up to the expectations.

Unless he has been sacked, of course.

Sold their midfield, plus injuries plus Europa League football. They've done as well as expected

"We have mutually agreed to end Roberto’s contract at a time that suits both parties allowing us the earliest opportunity to plan for next season, and Roberto plenty of time to consider his next move and his future."

Big gamble on a manager who has technically never managed in the Premier League. De Zerbi has done OK given the circumstances, it's not like Brighton are a club that should be finishing top 8.
He fell out with the higher ups because he wants more control over recruitment, think he was gone either way.
