He'll probably join Bayern on deadline day. Noway Dortmund are gonna let him leave for nothing when his contracts up.

To be fair he could be the perfect target man for the Barcelona system.

He could be what they were hoping for from Ibra, and allow Messi to take more control of the game without losing a goal threat.

If, as rumours suggest, Barca are willing to pay €20m for Torres, they'd be better off adding another €10m odd and getting a player who hasn't completely turned to shit.

Perhaps they need the Thiago money first

I dont see it at all. They moved David Villa to the left hand side to push Messi upfront (apprently to satisfy Messi's ego. They wont move Messi back out wide or drop him deeper - it would make no sense.

It does make sense when you realise their game plan has been sussed out. The Messi in the false 10 role did not work last year, as none of the other players were deemed a threat. They also need a decent back up plan, look at the Bayern games when Messi was missing, they absolutely sucked. Messi could play in a normal roaming role with Neymar the same, using the fullbacks for width and Lewandowski as a wall to play off.

Sussed out? Yeah they just won the league and cup, and merely got to the semis of the European cup.
That is completely sussed out!

Rethink needed!

Or they came up against a super star German outfit, without the best player in the world.

Messi did pretty much all of that. They would not have got passed Milan if it was not for Messi!

The Telegraph claims 'Moyes is poised to chase Lewandowski, after failure of Ronaldo effort'...or something.

Still says that he wants to go to Bayern. Claims that possible moves for Lewandowski, Baines and Fabregas will in play if we fail to get Ronnie.

Well if the biggest semi final defeat in the history of the Champions League isn't sussed out, what is? Barcelona managed 3 attempts on goal in the first leg.

He won't go anywhere else than Bayern it seems and he doesn't want to stay at Dortmund any longer. He's had commitment issues at international level where he frankly doesn't care about the team and doesn't perform so I guess Dortmund could be bringing in a replacement this Summer anyway to allow him some time to bed in.

He's getting married in a couple of weeks too, and he has invited almost all of Dortmund German players but didn't invite Piszczek and Kuba. Apparently they don't even speak much while at Dortmund because from the beginning Lewandowski has thought he was too much above them.

That is shocking. Bad attitude if true. They are the ones who supply/assist him the most for his goals (at least this season).

There has been talk about them not liking each other, especially when it comes to his relationship with Kuba, for a long time. They've denied it a couple of times but weren't really so firm about it and anyone can clearly see they don't like each other. It's hard to say who's at fault here but I like Kuba and Piszczek and I absolutely hate Lewandowski right now so I'm going to pretend that his fault here is clear.

Never thought Lewandowski was such a douchebag until all this transfer talk came up this past month.

I've known it from the moment he said he would leave Polish league and move to a big club abroad, and there was nothing apart from Lewandowski transfer sagas in the press for about a year prior to his move to Dortmund with his agent constantly speaking about how all the teams in the world want him. Then the very first minute he settled at Dortmund and started scoring he publicly said that he would like to play for a much bigger club in the future.

He's a winner but he's also a major cnut in my view.

Berba had a similar reputation for arrogance while at Spurs.

I still remember his shocking debut season for Dortmund, hardly getting a game behind their #1 striker Lucas Barrios and supporters wanting to get rid.

That's strange, aren't they his fellow Polish team-mates?

He honestly looked poor to me. Such a big turn around since then

They are but you only need to see a couple of Poland's games to see that Lewandowski doesn't really care about the national team.

His agents already talked about him getting the biggest contract in world football in 2 years at Bayern. He didn't even start training at his supposedly new club but his agents already talk about a pay raise? It's beyond crazy, I don't want him at Bayern. Hopefully he's really pissed at the club for not buying him out of his contract at Dortmund and Monaco or Paris offer him crazy money, so he signs for them next season.

He supposedly already has a binding agreement with Bayern.

it was in the semi finals, against one team.

Not getting through the league stage, or not even qualifying would be found out.
You people are mad.

You could say one team appeared to have well and truly sussed them out... which does raise the alarming (for them) possibility of everybody else following suit now the cat is out of the bag.

Klopp has supposedly confirmed that he'll play for Bayern after this season.

It is doing the rounds on Twitter. Dortmund have done well to hold on to him. Sends out a strong statement.

He's going to leave for Bayern anyway they would be better selling him now for 20m imo. I doubt he's even going to play against Bayern now and questions will be asked about his commitment level to Dortmund. Cash in and buy a replacement

Dortmund will find themselves in mid-table in a couple of years.

Why? They are replacing Lewandowski with one of the best Ligue 1 forwards and are probably buying a Shakhtar star to replace Götze as well as possibly getting a few more players (they've already secured Sokratis who will boost their defence). Klopp built this team from scratch, he's capable of rebuilding it even after a few departures. Besides, who do you expect to overtake them? Schalke, Leverkusen, Hamburg, Werder Bremen, Wolfsburg?

Thats an interesting thesis. Care to eloberate?

Maybe they will fall somewhat and won´t be able to challenge Bayern or for the CL title in the next years, but fall to mid table in the Bundesliga? For that to happen, something would need to go terrribly wrong.

Watzke, Zorc and Klopp have used the success in the last years to build an extremely stable fundament of the club. While they are still behind Bayern quite a bit in terms of finances, the gap between them and the rest of the league is even wider.

They are estimated to generate between 260 and 270 Mil € revenue for the last season without taking transfer income into account. That is around two times as much as the third biggest club Schalke will generate. They have a huge and modern stadium, which is filled to the brink at every occasion. Merchandise sales go through the roof due to bigger popularitiy and the fan numbers are steadily growing. Add to that several renewed sponsorship deals for better conditions.

They are also not dependent on the CL as income source, because they can still break even without it.

Losing one or two key players won´t make them fall out of the top 3. They lost with Götze their strongest individual player, but they were still able to push the currently strongest team in world to their limits in the CL final without him.

Just sell him now. No point having him for a season when his heart isn't 100% in the team. Get the 20million in and let the fecker go to Bayern.

I think if Dortmund hadn't lost Gotze in the way they did, they'd be a lot more willing to sell Lewandowski to Bayern this summer.
